Important question: How do you think people in-universe know what attacks a Pokémon can use?

Pokémon researchers such as professors observe moves and abilities by watching battles. They document these specific attacks to be studied and shared with trainers.

Trainers themselves usually learn their Pokémon's moveset by training together. Newer Pokédexes can also scan moves and identify them if they have been previously documented by a professional.

Also, I personally headcanon a Pokémon can know and use more than four moves at a time. But league restrictions for trainer battles only allow a max of four moves to be used per battle in order to remain fair and rely more on strategy rather than using every attack in the book.

So I'm watching Alice in Wonderland, the old animated one, and I'm not sure if anyone's made that connection yet, but I saw in the credits that apparently the name of one of the composers was Sammy Fain. Just thought that would be interesting.

We do not have an estimate of any sort, due to current events leading to creative burnout for a lot of the staff. Unfortunately, we probably won’t be able to provide one until things calm down, and there’s no estimate on that, either.

So I have an idea for the drowned glory arranged marriage AU, one that I'm not entirely sure what to make of, but I did spend most of today thinking it over pretty thoroughly and now I want to throw it out there.

So this starts with the assumption that in his situation, while living with his parents, Pyro most likely would not have been allowed to wear men's clothing. But he is wearing men's clothing when he arrives in Oakhurst. He could have bought them before leaving, possibly under the pretense of buying them for a male relative or friend. But his family is well known. He's well known. The incident, what he did, or was accused of having done, is well known. So it would raise questions.

"Who is this girl buying this for when she just got kicked out by her parents and everyone knows she doesn't have any friends? And even if she didn't get kicked out, that's not her father's size. It could be her fiance's size, but he's dead. She killed him. She's not buying clothes for him."

Or at the very least, that's what Pyro's anxiety tells him would happen. So he'd have to buy them the next town over. But the thing is, he'd rather not be travelling in women's clothes at all if he can help it. Not even entirely just because of dysphoria, but also because he finds them hugely impractical for travelling. Who'd ever want to put themselves through that hassle? He knows he's not getting a coach or anything, he can't be dealing with a skirt hem dragging through puddles, or layers of petticoats weighing him down. He needs to already have something that he can put in his suitcase and change into basically as soon as he's out of his parents' sight.

And he has an idea. It's a bad idea. It's a terrible idea, in fact. It's one he wouldn't ever consider if he thought he had any other option.

But he knows how to get into that house unseen.

He'll get rid of them, he tells himself. Soon as he's bought new ones he will. He'll burn them.

And then the guilt hits. How could he get rid of them? After what he's done? Doesn't he deserve that reminder?

He still buys new ones, because of course he ought to have more than one set of clothes, but the ones he first packed are still in his suitcase when he arrives. They're still in his suitcase when he gets turned. And as his guilt and shame keeps growing, as he keeps doing worse, as he keeps getting worse, he digs them out again.

It's not "one of Sire's old coats" he found after all, that's just what he says when asked. But it feels fitting, doesn't it? He's a monster now, doesn't it feel fitting? Trophies, right? Clothes stolen from the first man he killed.

this is so unbelievably peak. its SO good. the panopticon esque nature of being the most hated girl in the city, even after having this ties cut with his parents and czeslaw he cant escape being known by others. and being known has always been a bad thing for him...

it only makes sense for him to dig out czeslaws coat again, if he has to lean into being this evil and unforgivable monster wearing his trophy is the best way to do that. even if the smell of it makes him feel sick. even if theres a dread pooling in his stomach that is so profound it can never be expressed. czeslaw is long gone but the scars remain, and hes wearing a knife to reopen them...
