they have a mom body, they have the natural chub that accompany having a big enough chest to be seen through the big coat and vest and the soft thighs that come with having a nice ass. they aren’t a lanky twig. krayonder is just used to carrying them. this has been a PSA

80s AU moments

Specs: Krayonder once gave me his hoodie because it was cold out but he forgot he wasn’t wearing anything under it and he didn’t want to be rude by asking for his hoodie back so he was freezing on the walk home.

Junior: He’s so fucking stupid

Specs, lovingly: Yeah, I know...

The Forced Family at a formal League Event

Specs: Remind me why I like these people?

Kray: They’re the reason we met-

Junior: Bullshit. It’s because they sign your checks.

Short older Specs and Krayonder post

They’ll also get their own chapter(s) but i wanted to get these ideas out:

They move back to Earth once they’ve both served their time as rangers and become professors at the academy

Specs teaches engineering and xenobiology classes

Krayonder teaches physical education and combat classes (with the occasional botany class here and there)

They live with Junior, who grows up to run the League and finally bring forth the reform necessary

Specs joins a committee led by Tootsie, Megagirl, and themself to draft arguments on why robots deserve the same rights as humans

And they succeed, part of the League reform gave robots rights

Krayonder and Specs end up having a kid together

Their kid is named Hubble after the telescope

It was Krayonder’s idea

Hubble (or Hub for short) has Specs’ smarts along with Krayonder’s energy and recklessness

I’ll make a longer post about Hub and his parents later but I wanted to get this all in writing first 💜✨

Space pirates AU? Space pirates AU!

After the events of Starship, the crew of ship 15-A-2 decide that breaking off from the League altogether would be better than working alongside a corrupt power. They destroy GPS tech on the ship and, after a stop on a long abandoned colony for a ship paint job and some supplies/clothes/etc, they’re off to explore and loot as necessary.

Commander Up: Now referred to as Captain Up, ditches the harnesses and sticks to a short sleeved shirt similar to Krayonder’s black athletic shirt from the show, a pair of black cargo pants, and a maroon bandana around his wrist. He leads his crew with his heart, holding to the principles of only looting League ships and fighting for the needs of the many.

Taz: Taz’s style doesn’t change all that much beyond tearing every League patch off of her clothes and switching out her red bandana for a darker maroon one. She works as Up’s first mate and plans most of their missions. She also sets up deals with other space pirates they encounter, so no big rivalries break out.

Krayonder: Krayonder ditches the League vest and switches his black athletic shirt for a black tank top, matching Specs. He wears his maroon bandana at his waist, tied around one of his belt loops. His primary job is to make sure possibly enemies stay as allies. Taz makes the deal, he keeps everyone happy. He doubles as their inventory keeper.

Specs: Specs keeps Krayonder’s oversized camo jacket (without the League patch of course) but gets rid of the bulky vest, leaving the jacket unzipped and wearing a black tank top that matches Krayonder’s. On most occasions, the camo jacket is tied around their waist though. Their khaki pants were cut into khaki shorts for mobility purposes and they wear their maroon bandana as a choker. Their primary job for the crew is to provide new and exciting weapons as well as keep the ship running in tip-top shape.

February: Feb sticks to the blue coveralls, keeping them unzipped and tied around her waist to hide any League symbols on it. She wears her maroon bandana as a headband and gets trained up by Specs to be one of the engineers on the ship. Is she good at it? No. But does she always bring coffee and good attitude? Yes.

Bug: Bug replaces the blue headband with the maroon bandana and acts as a linguist for the crew thanks to his uncanny ability to pick up languages quickly.

Tootsie: Tootsie switches his camo pants out for a pair of black cargo pants, wearing his bandana around his neck. He acts as the muscles of the crew. He might not be the brightest but he sure can throw a punch.

Mega-girl: Mega-girl’s appearance change goes about as far as tying a bandana around her ankle and giving her a little paint job to add some color to her bleak attire. She’s the crew’s compass and provides information on what planets the League inhabits and which ones are uncolonized.

Okay but have you considered:

Specs or Krayonder pulling the other close and just pressing their foreheads together. Just for the closeness, for the contact, for the reassurance that both of them are still there. They’re still breathing. They’re still alive.

it starts as more of a joke in the academy, Krayonder would just sit by Specs and press his forehead to theirs before something big (a test, a project due date, a presentation)

then they both got sent to fight in the robot wars and, when all else seemed lost, they would hold each other close with their foreheads pressed together, promising the other that they were alive and would stay alive just by breathing

after the war, it becomes a less frequent thing for them but it still happens

Specs stresses themselves out in the lab? Krayonder is there to press his forehead against theirs and promise that everything is fine

Krayonder begins to freak out at the thought of dying on a mission? There’s Specs, holding onto his arms and pressing their forehead to his and whispering little encouragements

even at their little wedding, they pressed their foreheads together before kissing because that’s their safety. that’s their way of communicating

this evolves into physical touch in general

hugs, arms over the shoulder, leaning into the other’s side, holding their hand, resting a hand on their arm

it all comes to hold the same weight as their initial protection of leaning their foreheads against each other

yes i will eventually add a drabble centered around this to the collective works, but this is the content you get for now 💜
