Specs 👏 is 👏 not 👏 skinny 👏 or 👏 light 👏 to 👏 carry 👏

they have a mom body, they have the natural chub that accompany having a big enough chest to be seen through the big coat and vest and the soft thighs that come with having a nice ass. they aren’t a lanky twig. krayonder is just used to carrying them. this has been a PSA

Yes, I headcanon Specs as having ADHD, no I probably won’t make a post explaining why ✨ just vibe

Okay but have you considered:

Specs or Krayonder pulling the other close and just pressing their foreheads together. Just for the closeness, for the contact, for the reassurance that both of them are still there. They’re still breathing. They’re still alive.

it starts as more of a joke in the academy, Krayonder would just sit by Specs and press his forehead to theirs before something big (a test, a project due date, a presentation)

then they both got sent to fight in the robot wars and, when all else seemed lost, they would hold each other close with their foreheads pressed together, promising the other that they were alive and would stay alive just by breathing

after the war, it becomes a less frequent thing for them but it still happens

Specs stresses themselves out in the lab? Krayonder is there to press his forehead against theirs and promise that everything is fine

Krayonder begins to freak out at the thought of dying on a mission? There’s Specs, holding onto his arms and pressing their forehead to his and whispering little encouragements

even at their little wedding, they pressed their foreheads together before kissing because that’s their safety. that’s their way of communicating

this evolves into physical touch in general

hugs, arms over the shoulder, leaning into the other’s side, holding their hand, resting a hand on their arm

it all comes to hold the same weight as their initial protection of leaning their foreheads against each other

yes i will eventually add a drabble centered around this to the collective works, but this is the content you get for now 💜

More ranger headcanons

Krayonder is deaf in one ear due to exposure to a rocket blast as a child that shattered one eardrum

he didn’t find out about his partial deafness until later on in life

this coupled with his ADHD leads to him being an all around louder person (see: how he reacted in the cave when everyone else was quiet, not being quiet when he could’ve woken the bugs up, etc)

Specs has tinnitus because their parents left them in zero g for an extended period of time (in the name of science)

they do the little head tap to quiet it down

but the tinnitus and their own ADHD working together to amplify noise ends up getting them overwhelmed a lot

so they have a little nap area in the lab for when they go into sensory overload and need a break away from everything and everyone

Specs’ family

Specs was a test tube experiment gone “wrong”

They were given the name Judith “Jude” Specht when they were still in the tube

Their parents are Joanna and Jeremiah Specht, two League scientists

Jeremiah isn’t the brightest crayon in the box but he’s a really good lab assistant to Joanna

When Specs was about 1 1/2 years old, Joanna and Jeremiah tried altering part of the test tube baby experiment and ended up with a born male clone of Specs

His name is Jonathan/Johnny Specht, he’s a more lazy version of Specs

A few months after that, they tried again which resulted in a similar outcome and created James Specht, the emotionless Specs clone

And then again a year later, leading to Julia Specht, the overly cheery and happy go lucky Specs clone

About a year after that they altered a different part of the serum, resulting in Jayme Specht, the super genius Specs clone

Then Jackson, who is the romantic side of Specs

And finally the youngest, Jacqueline Specht, the athletic side of Specs

The clones were all created based off of a sample of baby Specs’ DNA that Joanna and Jeremiah both took turns attempting to alter into just the right solider

What they got instead was a full house of kids all with different extreme mood patterns and one Jude Specht, the closest they ever got to their final goal
