This Mermaid, This Cosmic! and in color So for Mermay I'm doing my own prompt list and today is a Space Mermaid, which dovetailed nicely with the prompt from the official list, Cosmic. As I drew this it felt a lot like the old Silver Surfer comics so a little Kirby Krackle goes far. Kanan’s New Dawn.

An interpretation of a Pre-Star Wars Rebels Kanan Jarrus taken from the pages of the novel ‘Star Wars: A New Dawn’ by John Jackson Miller. 

Here Kanan is trying to eat his breakfast, just before being pestered by the local nut case. While maintaining his Pilot position for a chemical processing company. Piloting one of its cargo ships back and forth between the desolate planet called Gorse and its neighbouring mineral rich planetoid Cynda.
