Second night call at the Communicable Disease Centre.
On the second day of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
A new patient gets admitted, speaks only Chinese (and a Dialect).
Like a brave South American candidate for Miss Universe: I dare not need an interpreter.
I believe I can manage to speak the language. Until I gotten stuck to a few Medical terms.
Called for interpreter. But there is no Chinese-speaking nursing staff around! All are in the midst of their holidays!
Lucky there was a Volunteer Worker at the Ward! Thank's Ma'am.
Now, I hope this guy will tide over during the Chinese New Year weekend.
