I found myself

Un-shown

My head

Politely bouncing on a linoleum wall

My arms at my sides

Gestured swiftly in a welcoming

And I was overcome

My throat couldn't

Cast the stone I had

So willingly lodged;

A door,

To keep my thoughts locked

To keep my voice in my broken chest --

That splintered with every shudder and cough until

A dam broke out

Showered my face

And hands

In a Holy oil

My eyes blinked

And so I looked again.

The banging was only my heart

The wall:

A silent room.
