Hey everyone,

Sorry there hasn't been a ton of posting on the Tumblr page. I could use the excuse that life has been hectic, or that we've been incredibly busy, or something else that would keep us from coming across as procrastinators. When it comes down to it, though, that's what we are: a bunch of big ol' procrastinators. Any moment that we get to ourselves outside of our jobs or the band, we daze into another world where everything is perfect and nothing has to make sense. We relish in that for some reason rather than find ways to change it. Certainly I want to be more energetic than I have been, but I don't take initiative to become more energetic. Hopefully that changes.

Anywho, enough about our lack of motivation to write on here and more about the band!

We finished recording back in April. We were hoping to release it in May but various factors kept that from happening. We joked around at most of our shows since commencing the sessions that the EP probably wouldn't be released until 2018. That's how bad it got. Now it's looking like we'll have it released just before the end of this month or possibly early next month, which is very good news. The one thing that is kind of disappointing about the release is the absence of vocals. For as long as we've been playing, we've been primarily an instrumental band, though not necessarily by choice. We originally had someone else in mind to sing for us but that fell through, so I took over vocals since then. Because of a lack of PA and little time to practice, it was hard to develop melodies or even build a comfort level. I got to a point where I was working on vocals at home and built a comfort level. However, due to reasons that were somewhat out of my control, the vocals were left off the recording. It was a decision I didn't particularly agree with, let alone feel comfortable with, but in the end you have two choices: complain and disagree to the point of making yourself look bad, or go with the flow and learn what NOT to do in the future. I wasn't about to complain so I just went with the flow. Aside from that, I am proud of the recording, and I think you guys will enjoy it.  Since then, we've made new friends and played with some killer bands ( CityCop, Free Throw, Save Us From The Archon, Fictional Maladies and a slew of others ). We're still pressing forward and are working on more shows for the month of August and beyond.
