Ngl I was trying to think of something I could draw for any of the prompts today, and remembered the series of watercolor backgrounds I did for Hisui like, a few years ago (wow;;;) and thought this one would work great with Kamado's quote!

Super proud about how these two turned out.

This is Kaara and Punch Drunk's last stand against Volo and Giratina. And spoiler! They get obliterated.

When I first saw Volo, something felt off about him. He always popped up at the right time and would say something a bit ominous. It all felt suspicious. But as he was helping us when we were kicked from the village, he got me. I trusted him.

Then for him to lure us to Spear Pillar to strike us down. And he actually succeeded! Giratina went into it's second faze and it was wraps.

In my cannon, he did actually end the player. Volo was already planning to destroy the world to remake it in his image. One teenager doesn't really matter in his grand scheme. Meanwhile Giratina just wants a crack at daddy Arceus due to the banishment. So it doesn't care either.

In the end Kaara and her Pokemon were struck down at Spear Pillar by someone one they trusted. Volo and Giratina laughing in their face as they do it. And I wanted to capture that moment.

Now like the game, Kaara has to win. But only due to divine intervention does she get a second chance to win. Arceus resets them to a moment before they face Volo. It tells Kaara that they must win. And fortunately for Kaara it only took her a second try to do it.
