Spec alioramins of my project HE(HollowEarth)
The Magnificent Langoon
the largest animal ever to fly the great lance dragon or langoon are giant Rhamphorhynchoid pterosaurs that rule over saikin with a serrated beak and powerful claws these animals are capable of hunting prey up to a ton or more in weight The langoon are most similar to the long extinct azdarchids in appearance and indeed hunt on the ground in a similar fashion yet perhaps surprisingly these animals are far closer to Genera like Harpactognathus than any Azdarchoid
These Giants of the skies are well known for their often dragon like behavior Its well documented that langoons will often steal pretty or shiny objects for a bower like nest structure which is utilized by males to attract mates in fact when the saikin subspecies was formally described in 1836 it was noted that females chose bowers that had the most impressive items with megafauna skulls and strange rocks being preferred by females
The blue nosed Bronse
a quite common sight to see in forest habitats of Saikin Blue nosed bronses are large 3 ton basal ornithopods which can be found in quite sizeable herds said herds are quite frequently on the move in the forests and jungles of Saikin keeping in close contact with other herds and lost members with low frequency calls and clacks of their beaks
named after their vibrant blue nasal crest which serve as a display structure towards females of the species. males will compete quite violently for mates with repeated slashing from their giant hand claws and biting on the neck or face being a frequent sight in these rather brutal brawls
like their more derived extinct distant cousins the hadrosaurs Blue nosed bronses are quite generalized in diet in this case preferring mid to low browsing and eating mostly ferns and horsetails which are quite common in their forest homes
every year around the end of the dry season huge herds of these ornithopods gather in choice areas of the forest with enough cover and space to nest like many species on saikin Blue nosed Bronses prefer to begin nesting and egg laying near the end of the dry season so their young can have the best shot at life when the wet season begins and plants grow in abundance
Defeatist protagonists!
I return, this is my OC and fakemon called Bayawa, it’s a Ghost/Normal legendary
a map of my lost world setting known as Saikin This subcontinent in the midst of the pacific is home to taxa whos ancestry date anywhere from the Jurassic all the way to the devonian! and having only been found in the 1800s theres still so much of this land to explore
The Helmeted Brawler Rigone
Despite its Appearances to that pf the long extinct pachycephalosaurs The Rigone is far closer to ornithopods like Nanosaurus than it is to any Marginocephalian, Like its extinct Lookalikes The Rigone uses its thick domed skull and horns for intraspecific combat males will engage in headbutting competitions to fight for the right to mate and establish dominance in a herd
Despite their Brutish reputation Rigone are quite skittish animals and are quick to flee at a moments notice of danger and can bolt with surprising speed, However it is quite the successful competitor for similarly sized ornithopods as it Dominates the forests jungles and even the plains thanks to its generalist diet.
unusually for modern ornithopods Rigone don’t care for their young for prolonged periods instead they let them fend for themselves after a week or two of care In which the young will occupy small foraging niches until they reach Adolescence where they will find herds of their own to stay in
The Sacary
often referred to as the Satan peccary Sacary are generalist small herbivores of the forests eating just about any form of plant or fungal matter in its wake, Typically solitary Though they will gather in small groups when times are particularly plentiful, Their most notable attributes is their form of defense while most may assume such a small ceratopsian to flee at the sight of danger Sacary are well known to actively fight off large hunters such as the proceratosaurs they live with And with a bite as powerful as theirs it is easy too understand why hunters like japerias back down when one rattles its quills and roars at it many a beast have had limbs shredded and shattered by these comparatively diminutive ceratopsians.
