4 years ago, on January 16, 2018, Johnny attended and was one of the special guests on The Joe Perry & Friends show, at The Roxy Theatre, in West Hollywood, California.

On that day, Joe Perry was celebrating the release of his brand new solo album since 2009, the “Sweetzerland Manifesto” which has Johnny as executive producer and guest. Along him, Joe also had Robert DeLeo of “Stone Temple Pilots”, Gary Cherone of “Extreme”, Slash, Buck Johnson and more guests performing in a sold out show. 

Johnny joined on stage in the middle of the show to play guitar in two new songs: “Eve of Destruction” (which on the album version has Johnny playing drums) and “I Wanna Roll” and later returned to close the show playing The Beatles’ “Come Together” with all guests on stage and the Tiny Bradshaw’s cover “Train Kept A-Rollin'” with Slash.

3 years ago, on September 15, 2018, the Hollywood Vampires realized a special show at the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, in Tokyo, Japan.

> This show marks: * The second and last time the Hollywood Vampires performed in Japan. The Vampires first played in Tokyo, on November 11, 2016.

* One of the weirdest shows the Hollywood Vampires realized. Some of the Vampires consider this probably “the most awkward show they ever made”, but on a super positive way. According to them, different from all the other shows where the audience scream at the top of their lungs throughout the whole show, the japanese audience was the most quiet and respectful of them all. Although they were really enjoying the show, only some were singing both due the language and mostly to respect those who were there to have a good time. After each song instead of screams they heard applauses followed by silence as they wait for the next song. After the show, the Vampires also saw how the the venue was almost clean, once the audience cleaned their on trash, and during the fast Meet & Greet they were treated really well and formally, asking if they could touch, hug, take a photo and thanking several times. That’s why they also consider one of the best audiences.

* The seventh time Johnny wore a cap during part of a Hollywood Vampires show in 2018. The first on June 14 on the show in Mönchengladbach, Germany, the second on June 16, in Birmingham, England, and the third on June 20, in London, England , the fourth  on July 5, in Switzerland, the fifth on July 7, in Lucca, Italy and sixth on July 8, in Rome, Italy. This also marks the tenth time Johnny wore a cap or hat.

* The first show realized after the 2018 Tour, but not considered part of the tour. This was a special show sponsored by the Japanese beer company, Asahi. The Vampires played a second show in 2018 on December 8 on Alice Cooper's 2018 Christmas Pudding.

* The first show with a really limited audience, supported by a beer company and with tickets won, and not bought.

The special event, titled “Johnny Depp live in Tokyo” was a special sponsored by Japanese beer, Asahi and limited for 1,000 Japanese aged 20 years and over fans who had to collect stickers from 500 ml or 350 ml Asahi Beers from March 13th to May 31st, apply on the seal sheets and send them to Asahi Executive Office. The winners were determined by lottery and won a pair of tickets to enjoy the show (the tickets couldn’t be bought).

* This is the third shortened show the Vampires realised on the 2018.

The first show was on June 13, 2018 in Prague, Czech Republic and the second on June 24, during the 2018 Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, The setlist was identical to the show in Belgium and they performed only 15 songs instead of 19. 5 songs were cut and one was changed. Instead of “Combination”, they performed for the first time “Red House” by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Strange Halloween Theatre - Halloween Special - Part 9

[The station. The lights are back to normal.]

[Numi finds herself in the exact same position she was in before she was knocked out.]

Numi: "Ngh…"

[She gets up]

Numi: "…I think I'm normal now. Guys! Are you all fine?"

[There's one bang from upstairs.]

Numi: "I'm coming-!"

[She goes up the stairs.]

July: "Huh…"

[She's sitting against the wall. Fairy-like changes are gone]

July: "It's still the 29th."

Numi: "Oh, really?"

July: "Yeah…"

Numi: "Huh."

[Another bang is heard, followed by Lita laughing]

Numi: "You guys fine?"

Lita: "PFFFFF- Yeah- Wayne spent too long floating as a ghost and lost some balance!"

Wayne: "I'm fine-"

Numi: "At least you're both okay. God, that was something…"

July: "Yeah, I don't wanna go out, but I want to sleep."

Lita: "Me too. Man, that was fun though!"

July: "I'm gonna head to my studio-"

Wayne: "Same here."

Lita: "I will hit you in the head if you don't go to sleep within the hour."

Numi: "That's far-"

Lita: "It ain't." [:)]

Numi: "I- Alright. I'll see you guys tomorrow, and we shall finish this-!"

July: "Night!"

Lita: "See ya!"

Wayne: "I'll see you all tomorrow. This report's gonna take a while-"

[Numi heads to her studio. It's got a bit of a futuristic feel to it, with white furniture and a lot of LED lights. There's the usual microphone used for actual work, alongside the monitor screens. There's a small black notebook labelled "Lifeness" on the desk. There's also a thin mattress thing on the floor, likely reserved for moments like this.]

Numi: "I really wonder what was that guy's deal… No-one normal does something like that."

[Numi looks at the notebook on her desk. Maybe she should at least write down what just happened here somewhere to use as a reference later…]

[The next day. The weather's as good at it can be for late Autumn, with good sunlight, but the temperature being significantly cold.]

Numi: "Morning everyone- Am I the only one up right now?"

[Yeah. It looks like all the others are asleep. Well, at least this gives her time to write down whatever happened.]

Numi: 'That was very crazy. Is this Bakemono guy another god, like the God of Monsters or something? If so… That makes it… around 5 Gods we've fought. And we did not actively seek a fight with any of them. We just happened to be called in to deal with their flashmobs.'

[Some time later July comes in, carrying some pocky sticks, along with some sheets of paper under her arm.]

Numi: "Oh, hey. Are the others up yet?"

July: "Mm, no."

Numi: "Right. I was logging what happened. You?"

July: "Nothing really." [She sits down.]

Numi: "Right. Are you okay after yesterday?"

July: "I guess so..? Just, I dunno, I don't know why I wanted to help that guy. Just the thought of being stalked creeps me out so much…"

Numi: "Wanna see how much we can get done before the other two wake up?"

July: "Yeah..!"

[About an hour later]

July: "I think we're done-!"

Numi: "Yep."

[The decorations are all set up! There isn't too much, just about enough not to have a lot of hassle taking it down sometime during November. July's added some brief sketches to the notice board.]

Lita: "Hey who wants the glow in the dark paint?"

Numi: "I- when did you wake up?"

Lita: "Half an hour ago. Thought it'd be fun to use this."

July: "I don't want it, but save it for something else!"

Lita: "Heh. Already was!"

Numi: "Please don't let it be for pranks."

Lita: "You wish. Promise it won't be in this building, though!"

Wayne: "What's all the noise about…"

July: "Oh, did you just wake up?"

Wayne: "Mh-hm.."

Lita: "Well, looks like these two finished while I was busy spicing up my studio."

July: "So… Do we leave for the day?"

Lita: "Yep, wanna be in the normal world for a bit."

Numi: "I'll see what my club has planned, maybe they have something to do tonight."

Wayne: "I'll just finish up tidying, and, yeah.."

Numi: "Riiiight."

[And so, the four of them go their separate ways for the day. And that, my friends, was 2 hours in the Strange Halloween Theatre! Where nothing is normal!]
