(Okay, I had to rant a little for this one)

As someone who has never heard of this ship before finding your blog, when you’re first introduced to this ship it’s kinda hard to see their chemistry. They don’t have a lot in common (or at least not in fanon) and only interact cuz one is the gardien and the other is disturbing the other’s job by being a menace (very evil).

It’s not a ‘opposites attract’ trope, more like a ‘you’re not as bad as I thought, guess we just needed to talk’ trope. Which is what I love about them, your interpretation of romance/chemistry for inkmare is one of the rare ones I’ve seen that just…work so well. And I’ve survived the trenches of the sans ships of 2017/18.

I like that there’s more to nm than ‘evil evil negativity sucking leach’ and more to ink than ‘can’t love anyone, also I forget everything’. Nm being big on romance is adorable, ink is sooo honest and direct and sweet. I love how in sync they are with each other, even with their movements (fo example : nm’s tentacles matching in a way ink’s contant fidgeting when they flirt/cuddle). I love their history, I love that they’re keeping it a secret, I wanna know where the lost love letter is… I love the nicknames they use for each other (like ?? my paramore ??? Amazing). Ink is very forgetful and it works wonderfully with nm’s patience. Nm’s curiosity and ink’s « idk, it’s always been like that ? Why do you need to know ?? » is wonderful too. I love how much of an asshole ink is at times lol.

Also the way they have their own different way of expressing their love to each other/flirting or responding to being flirting with is so funny and cute ! Love it ! Lots and lots of chemistry and romantic tension
