Hey guys! Just thought up a really random and cute (or at least I think it’s cute) blurb and I wanted to go and write it out while the creative juices were flowing. I think I want to make a zombie apocalypse series for all of the boys, but it depends on how well this one does. So please, if you enjoy this, LET ME KNOW! Like, reblog, beam the text off to the aliens, however you wanna let me know that you enjoyed this.
It was November 10, 2015. Or at least that’s what the date was according to your wrist watch, whose batteries had long since died since the world had begun to fall apart. It had been November 10, 2015 for several weeks, maybe even months. You had begun to lose almost all sense of time after your watch died. It was something so minuscule, always knowing the time. But the longer you went without it, the more you realized how much time directed your activities through the day.
Even though you no longer had your watch to tell you the date and time, the bright and boiling sun above you gave small hints as to when you should be doing what. You awoke as its rays lazily streaked across the pastel sky like someone spilled their morning cup of OJ. As the sun began heating up the dying Earth, you would go out and scavenge for food and fresh water to go into your canteen--making sure to avoid any crazy people who would kill for breadcrumbs and a drop of rainwater, or even worse, an Undead. The rest of your day was spent simply surviving and searching for food when you began to feel the pains of hunger. As the sun receded back behind the horizon, you would quickly make your way back into your safe place and feebly attempt to sleep in spite of the strange noises emitting from the world around you.
One morning, you were quietly padding across the forest floor in search of food--the shades of fluorescent green overwhelming your vision. You could hear the sounds of birds calling to one another from tree to tree, the chirping and the rustling of leaves almost deafening. All at once, everything fell silent. The birds stopped chirping so abruptly that there was a slight echo from the sudden absence of the sound. Even the leaves on the long and broad branches of the trees seemed to cease their moving--it was as if the whole forest was holding its breath.
You felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It had been a long time since you had come in contact with another person, and from your experiences, you had a better chance of survival because of that.
Before you could give it much thought, your feet began to carry you far, far away. Even through your shoes, you could feel the spongy moss on the forest floor springing you forward. Just when you began to think that you were in the clear, a dark figure sprung out from behind a large bush and tackled you to the ground.
All the air in the world seemed to disappear as you roughly hit the dirt. It had you pinned down, its face maybe a foot from yours. But you quickly head-butted the creature to stun it and then threw it off of you. You swiftly wrapped your arm around the enemy’s neck and drew your knife, the sound of the metal being freed from its sheath comforting you in a savage way. You could see that this figure nearly matched the pattern of the bush it had been hiding in. Camouflage.
“Who are you?” you growled, your voice coming out rough and gravelly from lack of use. You felt the stranger gulp nervously, the movement of their throat gently pushing on the blade you held oh so very close to their exposed neck.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” the enemy spoke. You were slightly put off by the softness in his voice, but you knew better than to back off too quickly.
“Why did you attack me?” you angrily question.
“I thought you were an Undead.” You could barely tell anything about this strange boy’s appearance due to the dense brush that was in his hair and the mud that was caked on his face.
You paused momentarily. You’d never had to defend yourself against a regular person before, at least not one who had no intention of actually hurting you. You weren’t too sure how to proceed from here. “Well...I’m not one.”
“Obviously not.” You could hear the eye roll in the boy’s tone of voice. “It’d be great if you would take that knife away from my throat.”
An unfamiliar heat rose to your cheeks as you quickly released the stranger and put away your knife. “Sorry.”
The stranger turned to face you and you were immediately entranced by his eyes, They were so dark brown that they were almost black, yet in the glint of sunlight pouring through the canopy above you you could detect a slight red-brown undertone. “My name’s Calum,” the used-to-be-stranger stuck out his hand.
“I’m Y/N.”
The two of you scavenge for food together, and Calum even rinsed off the thick layer of mud all over his body by jumping in the stream--leaving you very surprised to see that he was broadly and sturdily built. Something hard to find at that point in time due to malnutrition. “You know, with your fighting skills and my camouflaging skills, we’d make a great team. I could protect you.”
“I don’t need protecting,” you firmly said.
Calum nodded slowly, as if he truly understood. “I know. You’re right. But obviously I do. Could you teach me how to defend myself like you?” You fought back a smile.

And you've succeeded in scaring a girl
Who has lived through hell's multiple worlds.
Hell and back
Hell and back
But faith is what I've started to lack.
How could there be a almighty god if he allows so much hate..
But yet I still pray, in hopes to change my fate
Into something more,
Something I'm sure
To look back and smile
At the fact it took me awhile
But I'm where I should be.
I still pray
In hopes for a day
I can smile and say,
I made it, my god, I made it.
So go ahead, and scare me.
There's something you don't know,
Something you can't see.
My guns are loaded and ready for a show.
I've lived through worse,
And I promise there will be a hearse
Without my name,
But yours smothered in shame.
So bring it, show me what you've got,
My head is hot,
And I know a lot
So show me.
Show me what you've got.
You've scared a fearless girl, But I will not back down.
And I wonder
Is there a place for me?
I used to think it was in your arms,
Your eyes all I could see
I thought you could do no harm
But I was wrong,
So terribly wrong
Now I can’t listen to my favorite songs
Without a trace of you creeping in
Some days I can’t help but wonder where you’ve been
And the memories you’re creating without me
Some days I can’t help but dwell
Until my eyes are red, and they begin to swell
From the unshed tears I refuse to let go
Like you,
Like you I refuse to let go.
There’s a numbest I used to know
It’d come for a day or two
But now its stuck with me,
9 months since you
And all I can do
Is treat the boys like you treated me
The deepness they can’t see
Of how damaged I must be
I can’t help myself
I can’t help myself.
