It was Sellicks again at Summerhayes for the Good Friday match, I’ve had a lovely day but should have done a lot better. I caught skimmers and quality roach to weigh 11lb 14oz but just missed out as 12lb 12oz was second and 13lb 10oz was top. After really enjoying my first visit I booked a day off work and fished another Tuesday open. This time I was on Dead Tree lake and had a lovely match catching some nice skimmers plus roach and perch for 10lb 1oz and third again. It was tight though with 10lb 5oz second and 10lb 14oz winning! A few matches to catch up on, Sunday I was at Dillington and drew 18 which I was happy with but struggled for 4lb 1oz. Then it was to Summerhayes on Monday and had a lovely day on peg 19 catching some nice skimmers for 12lb 12oz and third in the silvers but was just 2oz off second. Today I went to Revels for the first time in over 20 years and had a fantastic day catching a small barbel, chub, roach, perch and skimmers for 14lb 4oz and third in the silvers again but was 6oz off second! As I had the week off, it would be rude not to fish a cheeky mid week match! I booked into the open on Hillview at Todber and drew peg 41. With it being so hot there were carp everywhere, I fished for silvers and had a nice day catching 46 skimmers and a few bits and bobs for 21lb 6oz and second in the silvers.
