Wash day wasn't an ordeal.
Deep conditioned last night, washed my hair this morning and put large plats in it. Now, it's wrapped up. Decreasing my shampooing though. Going to keep combs out my hair and keep washing down to twice a month. Apple Cider Vinegar is something I've been really loving lately. Mixed with water it keeps my scalp clean and moisturized. My mom has a birthday coming up and I'm nervous about it because I want to do something special to my hair. It's not till next month so I have time to decide but the back of my hair is BSL now. I did my BC myself so my shit is uneven as a motherfucker but I know my hair's growing. I finally got it. Leave your hair alone, keep it moisturized and clean and it will grow.
I had that epiphany this morning. It's a good feeling. I remember when i wouldn't go outside with my hair out. Now, I just don't care. Not because I don't care what I look like but because it's my hair. I finally get that there's noting wrong with it so there's no reason to hide it. Excuse the hair feels lmao.
I'm really excited about my hair. While I'd like to have my whole head be BSL at some point, right now I'm just going to focus on leaving it the hell alone and letting it get healthy. On another note, people waiting on the book I haven't forgotten about you. I think this whole wait due to a tech issue is trying to teach me patience. The story was basically my baby or pet project for seven years and I was able to write it then rewrite it because I sat with the characters so long. I'm not saying it's not coming out because it is. Just bare with me here. I will still be honoring my list.
People who follow me regarding makeup...please join the Specktra boards if you haven't done it already. I saw The RHPS in passing and n ever paid attention to it till MAC came out with a collection and completely missed the lipstick I wanted. However, someone on the boards from the UK was nice enough to purchase it for me. I paypal'd her the funds and she's mailing it to me. Will most likely take a MAC break very soon though. I have to buy new clothes since everything I have right now is too big.
The last collection I want something from is Prabal Gurung in December. Anyway, enjoy your weekend, everyone.
