He was in a rut- either he stood where he was and ran the high risk of getting caught by his enemy, or he did something, and fast.
“Excuse me- hi.” He started, giving the nearest female to him a friendly smile, glancing over his shoulder to ensure he had just a bit of time to work with. “Right, so I’m about to do something and I’ll probably get hit, but that is better than my other options. In the meantime, if you’ll forgive me, that would be great.” Moving forward, Riley closed the distance between the woman he’d been speaking to, hearing the resounding footsteps of his pursuers- it was now or never.
In one fluid motion, his lips were upon hers, kissing her in earnest- he had to make it believable after all. And the girl wasn’t exactly unattractive by any means. He took her soft lower lip into his mouth, sucking lightly as he heard the men bound by, shouting to each other in a foreign language to find him.
This escape plan was by far one of his best thus far in his career as an agent. Withdrawing, Riley gazed at her through blue eyes, giving her a sheepish grin and a shrug. Now was to come the slap or punch- that was an expected consequence from the get go, he was certain.
“I’m-uh…. Riley.” He chuckled awkwardly, brushing a hand over the back of his neck as he took in the sight of her thoroughly.
Her walk was towards her rented apartment, forgotten after a fleeting moment of utter relief. The pounding of footsteps failed to head to her ears, the earphones playing Parov Stelar’s booty swing tuned to drown out the cars had taken that place, choosing her to miss out on the mans first words as he began to speak.
Hurried movements reach to pull her earphones out, a stuttered ‘Excuse me’ falling from paled lips. Startled, Fawn would never have thought that a stranger would pull this kind of trick -- the kind that would result in a kiss being stolen. Granted, she had no way to even say that it was bad, because it certainly wasn’t.
Tugging at her lip brought her back to reality, stopping her from most certainly falling into the sweet kiss bestowed upon her. She objected, delicate hands starting to push against his chest with murmurs of complaint. ‘What are you doing? -- stop it’ She tries to say, but the words do not quite come out as they are intended - muffled and clearly not understandable.
The time he withdraws earns a resounding slap across his cheek, a reddening mark left behind. Scarlet hue crawls across pale cheeks, brown eyes darting widely. What was the entire reason for this -- this Riley to do that? They hadn’t even met before!
