Our First Bingo!

Congratulatiosn and salutations to Estelle! This is the first year Estelle has participated in @spectre-requisitions-exchange, but they are knocking it out of the park, producing our first bingo, and our first black-out bingo! We salute you, Estelle! Mordin here is so happy he can almost see those beaches coming for him, already! He gives you a sand dollar in recognition of your awesome accomplishment! Can anyone match estelle for comments this round? We will find out!

Bingo Cards!

Trophies are returning, so get your speeches ready! As returning vets may know, trophies are unlocked by the community as the whole. For those who want an individual challenge, we have a new game to introduce! Bingo cards come in two sizes, 5x5 and 3x3, for prompts to be used as inspiration in creating fic or images. Fills may be of any genre, style or rating, and you can request a card in several flavors: SFW, NSFW, Trilogy, Andromeda, Art, and Commenting cards. (Note: Commenting Cards won’t be available until the archive is full since we do not know at this point what kinds of works will be in the archive, but you can certainly request one ahead of time!) These are non-binding and self-regulated; you can get a "Bingo" by making a line, four corners, etc; you can put multiple ideas in one fic or artwork as you please. If you finish, please let us know so we can post a congratulations post for you. :D If you want to play, all you need to do is send a request for a bingo card to our tumblr inbox or reply to this dreamwidth post (you do not need a Dreamwidth account to post!). All we need to know is: - What size you want (5x5, 3x3) - Which "flavors" you would like potential prompts from We will then make you a bingo card. Here is an example of one made with the Andromeda set.

Bingo winner - Angelwingl3!

Our next commenting bingo has reported in, and it’s a new face, Angelwingl3! Angelwingl3 might be new this year, but they have arrived on the scene fiercely. Angelwingl3 wrote not one, not two, not three, not even six fics for the collection: they wrote 7. 7!

Looks like we've got a Hamilton up in here. Angelwingl3′s not only brought joy to a lot of people by writing tons of fic, but she's also been constantly encouraging in chat, participating in tons of word-wars and just plain fun conversations. She's a rare jewel, and even Avitus has to agree. He knows, as well as we all do, how lucky Macen/Avi fans are to have her with us.

And now she’s set to ship out on for the Citadel in the morning, which gives the newly minted Commander one last night to party. Thankfully there’s a batch of new recruits that have just arrived on base to pick from at the bar. If all goes according to plan, it’ll be quite the night to remember.

Bingo Winner - Boshtet

Another commenting bingo has reported in, and it’s Boshtet! Boshtet has been with us from the very first spec recs. Their works have been truly remarkable from the get-go, but it has been a joy to watch them grow, both as an artist and as a contributor. Boshtet has been unusually varied in that of their works in that this year they finally captured an unusual crown: one of the first to have done assignments that are both slash, femslash, and het. This year, it was femslash that gathered them this trifecta.

I think we can all agree that their work this year of has been truly beautiful. Aethyta certainly thinks so - she even brought out one of Benezia's favorite headdresses for the location!

Bingo Winner - Amarmeme!

We have another bingo winner today, and it's amarmeme! Amarmeme has been with us since last year, and we're all happy they are still with us this year, and hopefully with be with us next year, too. Amarmeme's one of those writers who is tricky to pin down - from T to E, they do it all, and they do it all so well. Femslash and Het fans are lucky to have amarmeme to write for them - especially if it involves one of the scientist characters, or soldiers... ;)

Last Night on Earth [Harry Carlyle/Female Ryder | Sara]: Sara Ryder spends her last week in the Milky Way on Earth, getting to know her mother's roots and saying goodbye as best she can. After meeting a stranger with a smoky, addictive voice, Sara throws some caution out the window and celebrates her last night on Earth. Unbeknownst to her, Harry Carlyle is about to appear in her new life time and time again, unable to shake the feeling he'd screwed up by sleeping with his friend's daughter on a whim. Or was it?

The good doctor [Harry Carlyle/Female Ryder | Sara]: Lyssa Ryder was sidelined by a fluke, sentenced to a coma for being the second twin awakened during the Scourge. She can't be too mad at it though, Harry Carlyle is a very good doctor. After coming back from the ordeal with the Archon and starting up her life for real, Lyssa isn't sure if she just wants Harry or something infinitely more complicated.

One good thing [Female Ryder | Sara & SAM]: Sara's feeling a bit stressed after dying on the Archon's ship. SAM provides a solution for helping her relax and repairing her trust.

Bingo Winner - BardofHeartDive!

Another commenting bingo has reported in, and this time it is our old friend, Bardofheartdive! Bard is an old friend to this exchange, who has been with us from the very beginning. Not only does Bard write works of beauty for all kinks, ratings, and kinds for Spec recs - from heartbreakingly epic Kaiden/M!Shep/James, to crushes from Grunt to Liara. They even wrote Recovering, aka the m!shenga h/c fic that I didn't know I needed, but I did, and now I'm not crying, you're crying. Ahem.

Not only have they helped us by writing such great works, they've also helped us assemble countless documents, including the request document and all the pairings nominations.  I think we can all agree that Bard's someone we all look forward to seeing next year. James, Kaidan, and Sheploo are all racing to her archives - I wonder why?

Another Blue Rose [Liara T'Soni/Grunt] Based on this prompt: "Grunt seems to have something of a crush on Liara if you talk to him during the Citadel party while he's in the shower. It's cute! They're also the only two who are likely to live the longest after all the other crew members age and die. After 300 years, they're the only two left who remember what it was like to fight with Shepard and the rest, they bond over this shared past, and from this tenuous connection something more could grow."

Bingo #3 - Joufancyhuh!

Our next commenting bingo has reported in, and it's a new face, Joufancyhuh! Joufancyhuh might be new this year, but they have arrived on the scene fiercely, organizing a spreadsheet quickly, participating in the discord, and writing several fics this year!

They've not been satisfied to just write fic, however; they've also been commenting and hit a bingo on their comment bingo card, clenching their victory by reading about an alternate universe! Let's hope they don't fall in since many would agree Joufancey has done a great job this year! Why Bain was so excited to find out about Joufancey that he had to come out to thank them in person - and even dressed up for the occasion! He even brought them flowers!
