The lie-down he has on the sandy beach after arriving to Ula’ula is more than welcome after the Mantine surf Hau has just had. It takes him a couple of minutes to get his breathing back under control, his heart rate back to normal range, and once he feels more like a human, Hau sits up, looks out to the sea.

What a gorgeous evening. While he has a feeling that the long distance surfing conditions might not continue to be the best, the quiet Ula’ula beach is perfect for practising some tricks before he calls it a day. The surfing season has technically finished, which leaves even the busier beaches practically empty once dinnertime hits, never mind the less popular ones. Hau stretches his arms and stands up. Suits him - gives him more chances to actually get surfing done when there are less distractions.

But first he needs a short walk.

Hau stretches his legs, too, and looks around the beach, and it isn’t until then that he realises that there is another person on the beach with him. Which is saying something, because said person is not exactly trying to blend into their surroundings with their choice of clothing. For a second Hau freezes mid-stretch before brushing off some of the sand from his surfing shorts and making a bee-line towards the interesting looking stranger.

“Alola,” Hau greets gleefully once he gets to a speaking distance before stopping a couple of feet away from the other, doing another dusting-off of the sand. “What brings you to this remote area on this beautiful day?” Nosy aren’t we.

i’m gonna use this ask as an excuse to be perfectly honest and talk about things i havent seen on tumblr but other internet places ya know

i think she’s gorgeous. i don’t know much about her personality yet, but since yeojin said she likes her i’m sure she’s great lol (also based on today’s loona tv episode i honestly think yves and chuu are dating)

as for her songs…of course see-saw is amazing and one of loona’s greatest songs yet, but i’ve seen almost no one talking about or reblogging one and only outside of the mv and honestly i think it’s because the song…isn’t that great. like it’s not a bad song but after a run of amazing songs for like most of a year one and only kinda doesn’t have a ton going for it in terms of being interesting or for me to keep listening to it

ive seen some people online be absolutely brutal towards gowon’s vocals tho and honestly i don’t think it’s necessary. like one and only was probably mis-matched to her voice, but also not every member of a 12(!) person group needs to be a main vocal. like, i’m hoping she’s not gonna be the visual member relegated to 2 lines since bbc seems to have done alright distribution wise with the last unit, but like. loona’s a big group, vivi didn’t get a ton of lines and the only comparable group size-wise is wjsn and that happens a LOT to perfectly capable members so. 

where was i again? oh yeah, everyone in kpop going on about vocals gets on me sometimes because i don’t care if a person can hit high notes as long as they sound good doing what they’re given (or could sound good if they weren’t given something so high justice for like most members of every girl group and every girl yg trains to wreck themselves). also i’m not even taking into account that i think yeojin said she’s a dancer lol i just think it’s a shame that they gave yves something that made her sound really great and fit her perfectly but now gowon’s in a position where there are people that are pretty much writing her off already. hopefully that’ll change with the unit and debut, or even a choreography version of her mv 

also i’m really curious if loona is actually going to have an official rapper or just give it to whatever member from song to song. like obviously we’re not gonna have rap god chuu, but members have had bits and pieces of raps in a bunch of songs yet no one is like. rap heavy i think. maybe it’ll be like red velvet where it’s like irene joy yeri whenever or maybe the twelfth girl is like straight rapper or maybe they’ll just have gowon do it (honestly jinsoul seems to fit it most but like…i want her vocals)

also chuu’s probably be the main vocal unless twelfth girl is like a new vocal goddess so i’m curious how many and which girls they’re gonna give the main and lead vocal title to. like i guess it doesn’t really mean much but the group is so big that it’s kind of fun to think of who the vocal line and dance line or visual line or rap line is going to be. i mean wjsn’s vocal line is like five people give or take a member in whatever songs. 

am i even talking about gowon anymore? idk in conclusion she’s pretty and probably nice and she seems like a good dancer so woohoo go gowon goth queen
