A cute little stomach growl animation I did with Mime.

As his tummy rumbles lovingly, he’s rubbing his belly, whom he calls Bella. I headcanon that he sometimes talks to his chubby tummy whenever Bella is gurgling (with or without his influence), even if it makes him look like a ventriloquist without the dummy. I also headcanon that he can vomit, sneeze, and make his stomach growl on command.

@odetteofthestars coined a term called "Peaky Tummy Syndrome" (PTS), I interpret that as a prion disease you are born with in which a protein in the lining of your stomach and small intestine and inside your peritoneum misfolds and goes rogue, misfolding other proteins like it, but leaving some intact. This causes a weak stomach, chronic digestive problems (specifically in your stomach and small intestine), sporadic, near-constant abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, increase in appetite, and near-constant, ear-splitting stomach rumbles. It can be paired with cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS) and functional abdominal pain syndrome (FAPS). It mostly affects neurodivergent individuals and people with autism and/or ADHD and slightly prefers females over males. PTS is a functional gastrointestinal disorder (FGID), a type of disorder that messes with your enteric nervous system, aka your brain-gut communication. People with PTS live relatively healthy, sometimes even longer lives and show above average cognitive skills.

Years ago, Sniffles and his friends went on a hiking trip when he overheard Mime getting attacked by a navel bug. The parasite, named Darren Phillips, told his host that he would be staying in his umbilical scar for 9 months. Mime didn’t take it seriously at first, but he soon started to feel sick and random things were pulled in and out of his belly button. Little did he know that Darren Phillips was using his and his husband, Nutty's DNA to form twins inside his navel crevice. As months passed, Mime got sicker and sicker and threw up almost all the time. At month nine, when it was time for Darren Phillips to leave, a loud *CRROOOOOOWWWWLLLLL!!* emamated from the deer's midsection, and he started to pull the parasite out. Not only did Darren Phillips get pulled out, two beautiful twin daughters came tumbling out, and that’s how Mozzarella and Panto were born.
