☽Grounding Yourself☾

Grounding literally means being in touch with reality. Being grounded is essential when you “come back” from a meditative or higher consciousness state and it is vital as a platform from which to state any meditative exercise.

Find somewhere quiet where you won’t be interrupted. Sit in a way that makes you comfortable.

Imagine you are a beautiful oak tree in a forest glade. Imagine your branches filled with leaves and the spirits of nature, who are your guardians. You can feel the strength of your trunk, thousands of years old, and the roots reaching into the ground beneath you.

Imagine you have roots growing out of your feet or from your pelvic floor grounding you in the depths of the earth and nourishing your whole being from that source.

Once you have imagined this for a few minutes, you can take a deep breath and relax. Open your eyes and know that this exercise will always ground you.
