This year for the boy's birthdays we wanted to provide them with an experience instead of a material item. We decided we wanted to take them to an amusement park (not Hersheypark). Originally we decided on Six Flags...until I saw that the price of one ticket was about $60. For a family of four plus their cousin we would have spent $300. I did a bit of looking at some other parks within a 2 hour drive and saw a park n play combo for Harrisburg residents. Admission AND parking for $29.99 at Dorney Park. Early birthday presents for all three boys for $166.69, which left a little more room for spending at the park to make it extra special. Ok children this is Mummy right at you with another lunch pack and this will be your afternoon snacks for today. That moment when a mom is bent on not wasting any food at all, so since I’ve run out of snacks for the kids, we would have a proper meal pack. My kids normally have an early lunch at school and so during afternoon school run I take some healthy snacks with me as they always have extra classes. Well since my house is empty at the moment cos of course it’s end of the month and shopping for the new month hasn’t been done yet, I had to make do with what’s in my kitchen. I ain’t spending any unbudgeted funds right now, neither am I letting food waste 😀.
