Bosses in Ultimecia Castle
100. A quote of your choice. Sam x reader "How many fingers am I holding up?"
“Come on babe, keep up!” Sam says, as he climbs higher and higher.
You grasp for the next rock, but being that you’re not a seasoned rock climber, even this “beginner” rock is proving quite difficult for you. You don’t want Sam to know you’re struggling this much, he was so excited you finally agreed to come along.
Your hand grips the rock and you use your leg to push yourself up. “Just a few more,” you try to tell yourself, but you know in the recesses of your mind, you’re probably not going to make it to the top. Your legs are jelly and your hands, while gloved, are callused and sore. You just don’t have the heart to ask him to slow down.
You breathe in sharply and start to reach for the next bit when your legs decide, No more. they come out from under you and before you can position yourself on your harness, you swing back and hit the side of the rock... hard.
You grimace and hold your head, but manage to slowly lower yourself down.
Sam, sees this all happen, curses and practically flies off the rock to get down to you. You hit the ground finally, and your legs once again give away and you collapse gently into a sitting position, still holding your head. It feels warm, is that blood?
Sam lands shortly after, disconnects his gear and runs to your side
“Jesus, babe, are you alright??!?!?”
“I... I think so, I just hurt. Everywhere.” You look up at him and his face is white as a sheet. You then see the blood in your peripheral.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" he says.
“Two. Sam, I think I need to lie down.”
He folds up one of his shirts and lays your head down on it. “Okay but you can’t sleep babe. Stay awake for me.”
You’re feeling dizzy but not tired, so you lay back and shut your eyes to stop the world from spinning.
“No, nope, keep those eyes open.”
Sam radios over to have a medic come over. They’re stationed closer to the bigger rock. Not the “beginners” rock of course. You lay there, staring at the sky, dizzy, embarrassed, and sore as fuck. Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad just to ask him to slow down, for fucks sake.
Sam holds your head and wipes the blood away. He consoles you and tells you the wound looks pretty small, probably just gonna have a bad headache later but he just wants the medic to clear you before he takes you home. You smile and just watch as he dotes on you.
The medic arrives and checks you out. He tells Sam that you look okay but he would recommend taking me to the ER to make really sure there’s no internal bleeding. Sam nods and picks you up. Him and the medic get you into a wheelchair and Sam rolls you back to the car, apologizing the whole way.
You grab his hand and squeeze, trying to tell him it’s alright, it’s not his fault.
You spend a few hours in the ER, Sam still doting and fretting before the doctors finally see you, run their tests and confirm that apart from a nice goose egg, your head is and will be fine. You’re not even dizzy anymore but walking is still quite out of the question, as your legs are completely stone tense.
Sam gets you home and runs you a hot bath with epsom and puts you in. He still keeps apologizing.
“Sam, stop. It’s not your fault, I should have told you I needed to go slower. I just didn’t want to let you down or let you see how horribly.. not at all athletic I am. I didn’t want to disappoint you, but this is on me, really... You’ve got nothing to be sorry for.”
Sam kisses your head, on the other side from your wound, and smiles at you, “Babe, you could never disappoint me like that. And next time, we can go as slow as you like OR we can get you a nice chair and you can just cheer me on from the base. Also, we’re not going back to a real rock, beginner or not, until we get some more practice for you.”
You laugh and agree. Maybe next time won’t be so embarrassing... but for all the pain you’re in tonight, you take comfort in knowing how much Sam really loves you.
Being enemies with Uncharted characters. Pt. 2 of 2
If you became an enemy to an Uncharted character and what you did to get in that position. Or, if you just completely annoyed the living piss out of them by making their lives more difficult.
Victor: Victor and you had your differences through the years, but you both were willing to set them aside in the name of treasure, money, and glory. You were helping to smuggle some illegal drugs by boat with Victor Sullivan when the captain unexpectedly pulled anchor, the Coast guard pulled up to make things worse. Things got even more heated when it was uncovered that the captain had sold you out, Victor had no idea that the cargo was drugs and had assumed that they were checking for legal documents. One of the crew mates that was helping you smuggle, had pulled a gun and shot a few of the coast guard, you and Victor were able to flee the scene by jumping ship and swimming to the nearby shore losing whatever profit either of you were going to gain- Victor was pissed at you and never trusted you again. He wouldn’t kill you if he saw you, but he would certainly make your life hell.
Marlowe: You were a protege of hers for years alongside Talbot before you decided to try your luck and go off on your own. She had forbid that you do this, but you did so anyways, and really screwed the pooch when you stole treasure right from under her nose and flaunted it in her face as you made your getaway. She would surely love to see you suffer slowly if she ever got her hands on you.
Talbot: You knew Talbot very well, you were a protege along side him for years underneath Marlowe. He would sometimes give you advice but you rarely listened to him, you hated waiting around for orders, and often mocked him once calling him a lap-dog to his face. Luckily for you, he is a man of patience and kept his composure, but given the chance he would love to kick the living snot out of you. But when you betrayed Marlowe you signed your death warrant. Talbot would kill you without a second thought if he saw you again.
Atoq: You and Atoq had a brief run together, you both searched to make your fortune by finding lost treasure, specifically El-Dorado. After a night of drinking you both got into a heated argument due to greed. You end the night in a brawl and draw guns on one another before he fires at you, luckily he misses since he’s so intoxicated, you bail but not before stealing any clues he may of had. He would certainly kill you if he came into contact with you again, preferably at point blank range.
Zoran: You were one of his best soldiers for many years, he didn’t trust anyone but you won him over by your display of loyalty to him and stood by him in whatever cause he chased. You had followed him into into India, and then into the Mongolian mountains looking for any trace of Shambhala. After months of turning up empty handed, Zoran had began putting you and others in direct danger, and after one of the mercenaries spoke out against Zoran’s orders he killed him in a fit of rage. You began to question his sanity and abandoned your post. You later changed your identity and followed wherever the money was as a mercenary for hire, but always having to look over your shoulder. If he could, he would severely enjoy holding your heart in his hands.
Roman: You had respected and partly feared Gabriel for as long as you’d known him. He had never failed to get his point across that he meant business. He began to send you more and more into the field, but began treating you like garbage, like another one of his hired henches. it left you slighted to say the least. You’d taken a chance at an opportunity to throw him off the trail of a treasure, after you rerouted some maps and had stolen some of his leads. You were officially done taking orders from him, and led your own way. What made it worse for you is when you beat him to the same artifact he had focused on for several years. Roman would certainly make an example of you, given the chance.
Eddy Raja: You ran with Eddy for several months but never took him seriously, even though his unpredictable behavior kept the rest of his crew in line it didn’t fool you. You had heard enough of his boasting for one week, after he altered a story in which you had saved his life and recovered money that someone had owed him. He had made it seem like he was the one who did all the work while the rest of you ran away. You approached him confidently and punched him out of his chair. While he was out cold, you took whatever cash you had recovered initially, and flashed your gun at anyone who tried to make a move on you; everyone sat and watched in shock. Those who were fed up with Eddy’s antics had followed you out as well. Eddy would bury you alive if he ever found you.
Cutter and Chloe: You and Charlie weren’t ever as close as him and Chloe, but you could count on each other to get a job done. One evening though, Chloe had moved on ahead of you as you and Charlie waited for her signal - unbeknownst to either of you someone had sold the three of you out and made it to look as if you were the traitor. You had been caught red handed with the loot in your possession but were able to make your escape, things began to stack against you even though you weren’t to blame. After the three of you had determined you had gotten away safely Chloe called you out, stopping the vehicle and Charlie yanked you out by your collar and threatened you with a gun- Chloe removed the artifact from you and punched you in the stomach. You tried to plead with them, but it was no use. Before they drove away leaving you, Charlie told you that if he ever got wind that you were in town on a job; he would find you and break you.
Being enemies with Uncharted characters. Pt. 1 of 2
If you became an enemy to an Uncharted character and what you did to get in that position. Or, if you just completely annoyed the living piss out of them by making their lives more difficult.
Nathan: You were a master art thief and replicator, and you came in handy when Nathan called on you, you had even taken up a small romance with him. You had both been hired to retrieve an Edo era woodblock collection from a museum; you had the fake in hand, but it all went south when he clumsily triggered a hidden alarm, making you bail empty handed. Your reputation was ruined thanks to him, so you got back at him several months later by forging his name on some documents, framing him. If he were to see you again, he’d probably just punch you really, really, really, hard in the face.
Sam: You and Sam had butted heads from the get-go, you wanted things your way while he thought his way was best. Some point you nearly get killed when you decide to do things your way against Sam’s original plan, you blame him for it. You and Sam fight it out later, and eventually pull a gun on him. You let him leave with his life and a bullet in his leg. You give him threatening promise that if you ever saw him again you’d end him. Sam won’t go and seek confrontation but wouldn’t hesitate to kill you if it meant his life.
Rafe: Rafe and you had known each other for years, your parents were business associates with his, so you knew him pretty well. You were also a huge history buff along side Rafe, and often compared notes. Treasure was never your goal but the thought of personal satisfaction was. You were an avid free runner, free climber and thrill seeker. Your parents went bankrupt because of a bad deal with Mr. and Mrs. Adler, the details unclear. Your family name was tarnished and you lost everything. Your father eventually committed suicide and your mother soon followed in her grief. You despised Rafe because of this. You loved pissing him off and wanted to show your superiority over him in any way you could - especially being steps ahead of him at any cost. You may have done this one too many times though, you snatch a priceless pirate artifact from under his nose. He would personally fillet the skin off your bones if he had the chance.
Elena: You and Elena had been friends since college and even called each other after your careers took you separate ways, but as usual time, work, and schedule drifted you two apart. One day, you run into her you had both started covering the same story, but her leads and content were much better than yours, and you’d been looking to get out of the field and in the news studio for some time. You both begin to catch up and started drinking, but she drinks one too many, leaving you to steal any sort of reporting story she may have. You leave her bone dry and your career soars due to your underhanded ways. Elena never forgave you for this. She would certainly give you a nice punch in the jaw as repayment.
Nadine: You worked alongside Nadine as mercenaries. You lead your own band of men and women while she had hers, together you were almost unstoppable. That was until she got wind that you were keeping something from her, she hated secrets and immediately went to the source; you. You got into a heated argument after she caught you in your lie. You had found buried treasure in a shallow tomb but you wouldn’t admit anything, so a small gun war began between both sides that lasted several days. You were on the losing side and were betrayed by your own men, when they joined her side. Nadine let you go out of mercy, but not before humiliating you in front of your men. If you ever came into contact with her again you’d fight to the death.
Harry: You and Harry were like two peas in a pod, for a time you did nearly everything together. Being around him so much had caused you to grow sweet on him, you’d do nearly anything for him at this point. Harry, being Harry, mixes business with pleasure and obliges you on many occasions. He plays on your feelings for him too and takes you for granted. You had gotten wind that he may have sold you out, but you’re smart and play along with the original plan. You break into the Chateau with no hiccups and you and Harry split up to cover more ground. You go quiet, making Harry nervous and he assumes his earpiece isn’t working after he repeatedly tries to contact you, but he goes about the job as normal. You being lightning quick, bail on him but not before finding and breaking into the safe you were after and taking it’s contents- you also nab a little something extra for yourself; a bag full of small diamonds. He imagines scenarios of how he would kill you if he got the chance.
You’re on an adventure with Nathan, and Sam when you basically get stranded with them. You hole up in a tiny room for safety, and it has 1 bed and the three of you are dead beat tired.
You: *overthinks the sleeping arrangements* So, I can lay this way and you can lay that way and-
Nathan: Or we just be adults and try and get some sleep?
You: ..Yeah
You: *examines the small bed more* Or even then, I can sleep laying across the both of you -
Nathan: -What are you, eight?
Sam: *chuckles* Sleep by me, he gets gassy
Nathan: *rubs his forehead in frustration*
Sam: *looks at you and pats the bed*
Uncharted characters on First Dates x reader
First dates with Uncharted characters assuming you’ve known them for a while and took up a romantic interest with one another. Kind of fluff, but my own personal thoughts on how it would go as well.
Nathan: Takes you downtown to the boardwalk, you eat funnel cake, joke a lot. Convinces you to do a photo booth pic and compliments how pretty you are and that you're such a natural while hes a big ol’ goof. You eat lunch at a nearby restaurant. He sits for a caricature after you plead to him a bit, afterwards he picks on himself some more and you grab his hand- which he accepts warmly. You both clicked before you went on your date and even more so now, which leads to an early kiss and a future second date.
Sam: Takes you to the fairgrounds; it has classic games and rides. You win a prize for him after he fails trying to win one for you, but he owns the shooting gallery. You get stuck briefly on the Ferris Wheel and begin to joke about being forgotten about - even though you are just joking he still puts his arm around you. He brings out the “child” in you and reminds you that having fun is a good thing. You share your first kiss before the midnight fireworks. Definitely a second date.
Rafe: Picks you up at your place- takes you to a nice very high end restaurant that requires reservations. They recognize him as he walks through the door. You sit in a private part of the restaurant so it’s just you two face to face. Rafe orders wine for you, he flaunts a bit but in the best of ways and you wouldnt be here with him if you didn’t like it just in the slightest. He shows you a much ‘kinder’ side of him aside from his charming business demeanor you know. His voice is like rich velvet at a low tone, and his cologne is faint and musky but Lord help you, you can’t get enough of him being close to you. He knows how to make it about you. He kisses your cheek at the end. You def go on a 2nd date.
Elena: Meet up at a bistro. You are a little late, but she’s okay with that. She is so warm and inviting to you- that’s why you went out with her in the first place, she knows how to turn an awkward situation into a great one. She’s a little more hopeful for the second date than you realize but she’s not desperate and can move on quickly. You end the date with a warm hug, but you look forward to calling her in the next few days for a second date.
Nadine: You take her to a wine bar. Her confidence soars through the roof which is what drew you to her in the first place. She smells like a desert rose and looks lovely out of fatigues. Her soft side is hard to get to but well worth it once you do. Her eyes glitter from the soft atmospheric lighting and her real smile melts even the iciest of hearts. She is incredibly witty, smart and, funny; it’s hard to keep up with her intellect at times but you manage. You end the date with a kiss on the lips and a warm hug, definitely a second date.
Harry: You originally wanted to go to a music festival that was being held in the downtown park but due to bad weather it was cancelled late term- so you make a hop skip and a jump to a nearby bar/restaurant where you flirt like crazy with one another. You play darts and beat him, even though he says he went easy on you- really you just beat him fair and square. It turns out however that you both drink a bit too much and hail a taxi cab. You have a light make-out session in the back, he overpays the cab driver. He calls you the next morning wondering if you were alright and sort of apologizing for making the moves on you by asking you on a second date. You accept.
Chloe: You take her out downtown which is really up and coming with all the new renovations. You both excitedly wanted to go see a band perform at a ‘underground’ bar, the band is really great and sets the atmosphere so well. She leans into you and you put your arms around her and you both sway to the music. Afterwards you share a friendly drink with one another and a few newly met friends. It doesn’t give you enough alone time together so you decide to leave and cut through a short alley- not really safe? Chloe can handle herself however and takes a chance and pulls herself onto you gently and gives you a warm kiss. You walk her to her vehicle before she gives you another kiss. Second date? Absolutely.
Victor: Takes you to a decent restaurant, very old school gentleman. You’ve known Victor for several years and know about his travel and life, you even share similar interests and hobbies. You both order a milkshake, where you share straws. You’ve never really liked the idea of sharing a milkshake or sundae with anyone but something about Victor made it alright. You both stay long enough to where you are the last customers in the restaurant. Getting ready to leave he asks the owner if he could use the Jukebox after a few minutes of him browsing, he picks something and walks over to you with a grin on his face. You both slow dance to ‘Jo Stafford: You belong to me’ a song you’ve never heard of but it’s beautiful and sets the mood. You don’t kiss but you certainly look forward to your next date.
Talbot: So charming, you never considered him at first even after he had asked you out on a date. You’d just been so wrapped up in your own work, eventually you decided to give him and you a chance. He takes you to a museum featuring things you are fascinated with. He delights in your knowledge of the items on display, he is fine with you being an introvert he’d be fine with you being an alien from outer space so long as you were you. You have a long drawn out kiss at the end of the date. 2nd date? Hell yeah.
Eddy Raja: He invites you over to his house, which is somewhat small but very homely you get that the women in his life strongly influence him. His grandmother resides with him, and even helps him prepare your meal for the evening. He is a little show off-ish at times but he means well. He’s certainly interested in you for the right reasons- you often leave him speechless due to your sharp tongue and observations. He likes that about you. Not many people can make him feel intimidated and horny at the same time. Second date? He certainly hopes so.
Salim: Takes you to a fancy restaurant. Low-lit atmosphere. He treats you like a queen but doesn’t over do it by pampering you too much. You knowing him for years are familiar with his fierce devotion to his home, heritage and to things he holds dear, you being one of them. He lets you be you and you leave him bewildered many times, but your heart is warm and he knows that about you. You are as passionate as he is when it comes to preservation of relics and lore. He kisses your hand at the end after taking you home and dropping you off wishing you a good night. Second date? absofuckinglutely.
Marlowe: You meet up at an estate auction it wasn’t really a date at first but after spending some time with her, after not seeing her or several weeks that changed. Neither of you are here for buying reasons it turns out, only to mock the people there. She loves the fact that you see eye to eye with her on so many things. You can keep up with her witty, sharp remarks which never fails to impress her. You both agree to go to a nearby cafe and have a late lunch. Her manners are impeccable, but she likes that you go against the grain a bit- she likes a little rebellion in life. You don’t hug at the end but she gives you a promising wink and wonders if she will see you around. Second date? Pending.
number 9 Sam Drake
Humiliating memories
Sam once went home with a girl after a very long stint with Sully and didn’t get very far with her before falling asleep. On her. He woke to her angrily putting her clothes on and asking him to leave. He felt terrible and super embarrassed that he wasn’t able to stay awake long enough to perform.
