Hi I'm sorry if someone has already asked this question before and if they did then just ignore this but what are your favorite head canons for Spideypool! I love your writing and aspire to be like you some day or reflect some of it in my own work because your word choice and language are impeccable! You don't rush or drag scenes out, your characters feel realistic and personalized and all of your descriptions are clear and easy to understand! Personally, I hate reading because everything I pick up is undescribably boring to me but your writing struck me! I've read and reread several chapters because I couldn't stop thinking about it and every time I do it brings me joy. "All that Glitters, Might be Gold" has genuinely cheered me up on so many occasions and has given me the motivation to keep trying. I hope all of your troubles resolve themselves soon, that you never have to encounter those struggles again and that you feel better than the Good Omens ending! 🕊️
Hi, omg thank you so much for the wonderful ask!!! This really cheered me up today! I really appreciate you being a reader and I love it so much when people get so much enjoyment out of my writing! I am very deliberate with all my word choices and rewrite stuff all the time until it clicks for me (part of the reason it takes me a while to update 😅) and I LOVE when people notice! For me, it is all really about being true to the characters and understanding how they would act, and crafting your word choices and flow around that! If you ever want any more specific writing advice, definitely let me know I would be happy to share!
As for Spideypool headcanons, I have a few!
- Deadpool once noticed Spidey sitting on a roof eating what was clearly a sad lunch brought from home in a paper bag. He tried to offer to buy Spidey some "real food" but Spidey turned him down. So ever since that day, Deadpool just conveniently shows up with at least two portions of whatever food he got that day "on accident" so Spidey will eat it since he doesn't like wasting food, and they can both pretend like Deadpool isn't just buying Spidey lunch all the time.
- Deadpool is super touch starved because he never really lets anyone get close to him unless he really trusts them. He loves touching Spidey (arm around the shoulder, clinging to his back when he swings through the city, patting the top of his head) but anytime Spidey tries to reciprocate those casual touches, Deadpool crumples like a paper bag.
- After a long day of patrol, Spidey loves to come home, tear off his mask, and just sprawl across Deadpool's lap and let Deadpool run his fingers through his hair until he falls asleep.
These are just some quick ones, but if anybody wants more, feel free to shoot me an ask!
And again, thank you so much for the sweet ask!
