MY BABY GIRL CAN COME HOME <3
I'm gonna go absolutely feral please observe my two best boys drawn by the incredible @hiddengriefs
How did James meet Aslan?
"I found him abandoned as an Eevee kit when he was probably only a few weeks old. I was only maybe eleven or twelve myself at the time but I knew he was in a really bad way and needed serious help - he was incredibly skinny and looked very ill. He could barely move."
"He was so dirty and grimy that it wasn't until I rushed him to the nearest Pokemon centre and the nurses got him cleaned up that we realised he was actually shiny. They gave me the honest assessment - as best they could for a kid my age - that they didn't think he'd make it through the night but that I was welcome to keep checking in on him, given I was the one who brought him in and I obviously cared."
"Well, Aslan beat the odds and made it through the night. That was actually when he got his name; it was on a total whim. Anyway, he kept going from strength to strength - and by the time he was old enough to be separated from his mother, he'd basically made a full recovery in the centre. At this point I was a registered trainer and because I'd put so much time into visiting him and helping care for him the nurses let me take him home."
"It wasn't easy, though. He had behavioural issues because he hadn't really grown up around his own kind, he was still a little underweight and was generally a little menace. My parents helped out a lot - I hadn't really told them I was bringing Aslan home - and maybe a year or two later he evolved into a Sylveon. The rest is history, really. He’s still a little shit but as with all Sylveon and their trainers he’s incredibly bonded to me."
“As for why he ended up abandoned? When I was younger I thought someone had abused him. Now I think it was more likely his mother had abandoned him because he was shiny, and his reflective silver coat as an Eevee could attract predators. Its sad but a totally common instinct amongst a lot of different Pokemon species.”
" Jaaaames~ I'm bored! " The cons (or pros?) of being friends with Klara.
"What kind of bored, K?" He glanced to her with an amused smile from around a drink of coke. With Klara that was a gamut of things. It could literally mean anything.
He's mildly worried.
Altair sips from his own mug, hiding the bemused smile. He's not helping at all.
"I want to fight your team." This is a terrible idea, but Quartz is determined nonetheless.
Well.
This was a thing.
"I--" He blinks, not being sure how to answer that, for several reasons. He didn't even know what Quartz was. He puffs out his cheeks, shrugs, and grin as he reaches for his belt. "Alright, then. We accept your challenge."
“...” altair altair altair--
"You were always one of James' favourite champions when he was growing up. The strongest. We watched many of your matches together on old tapes that he replayed so much he wore them down until they ceased to function. The discussions on if you could win against Leon consumed much of his discussions for a time with his friends."
"He'd very much like to meet you one day, and battle you - as would I."
"..." for aslan? :D
"Oh~! Hello, Serena!" Aslan beamed, padding over to her with a spring in his step as circled her, rubbing against her legs - one then the other as he came back around - the sunlight catching his fur and making him gleam as shiny pokemon did.
He smelled the other Sylveon on her, knew it would probably get a reaction later to smell another on their trainer.
"It's nice to see you. Have you come to see my Trainer? He isn't here right now." He hummed, ribbons twirling lazily as the Eeveelution peered off in the direction he'd gone before he turned back with a grin. "But while we wait, you can totally pet me if you'd like! I'll also totally hold any sweets you have for him~!"
“...” :)
Most Pokemon might show a little deference - or more usually, terror.
The God of Nightmare himself had just busted into their dreams. It wasn't like with humans, who might be confused - no, Pokemon knew right away. There was no mistaking it for anything else.
Millie showed neither deference or fear. The small Deceiver Pokemon glared up at the roiling mass of shadow, and she was angry. The world quaked as she fought back against this creature, fought it for control of her dream. She was a single boat in a storm but by Arceus did she have spirit.
"This is my dream!" She hissed, huge jaws snapping impatiently like a lashing snake behind her. She balled her tiny fists, eyes glaring furiously. "Get out! You're not welcome! I'll make you leave, if I have to!"
