We really thought that if no one recognized Chrome, it was because they wanted to prank him. To see how he act until he became normal again.
But no, no one have been able to recognize him but... Really...
Also, it seems that turning into a real man instantly makes you turn into a jerk! Chrome disrespects us a lot (”Just pay!” he says as we tell him that we’d like him to give us some money so that we could actually help him)
BUT ALSO, apparently it gives you the confidence to brag next to every single woman you meet <3
That’s how he ends up stroking Ykhar’s hair, and she just chuckles in response! How interesting is this!!
“I won’t fail to find you again”
[He leaned to give her a hand-kissing and Karenn turned even redder]
No particular comment here, I’ll just quote @seidecim‘s : ““kawaii desu”, that’s why”
AND WHY WOULD I STOP HERE IF WE ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET THE FAMOUS “THIS STRONG AND VERY MANLY BOY ALSO HAVE TRAUMAS” TROPE?
Again, friendly reminder : he was having fun with the ladies the moment just before. But you know, they have to force the compassion upon us : “he might be a jerk but HE HAS FEELINGS”
He just gazes at the ocean with a serious look... He starts to explain why he feels bad at the moment, his past... He cries... But when we ask if he wants to talk about it... He dryly answers no. And then he apologizes for being weak. And even if we tell him it’s not being weak, and that’s it’s okay, it makes me angry.
It’s not just that scene. It’s the whole thing.
I’m not mad at Chrome at all.
I mad at the writers (as always). Really. This episode shows us a lot about what their views on the world is. They could’ve just avoided lame clichés in their world, I mean, they weren’t obliged to transpose the flaws of our society to Eldarya’s one?
Silly girls chuckling when they see a boy? Girls denigrating other girls because they’re close to that boy? Boys being obliged to be rude at the others to feel manly? Boys forced to apologize when they cry?
I’m done. This game could’ve been so interesting, it had so much potential. I think I’ve been really patient regarding this game, I think it’s coming to its end.
