I didn't reallyexpect anything from lhm-nim tbf i'm so completely normal with his grape shaped head persona and don't even want to bite it at all i'm completely fine! he also have written his own work before and it's pure comedy, perhaps he can't completely shake off the entertainment-required sense considering that this is his first adaptation work lol
And for the last one, i have to say but yeah i did paid them cookies but, it's free and on official site! Even though i also buy webcomic in thai and eng, webnovel included. It's worth it to be able to support them. It's a bit of a pain having to waste about half an hour on a quest for free cookies, but I've been doing it for a long time lol and I don't plan on touching those 'fan translations' AT ALL ;)
it's free to read it on naver webtoon anyway lol it just cost me some effort every week.

You are so right that I don't have to do anything but nod in agreement. The more I reread this arc, the more disappointed I became when I found out I was so excited to read this adaptation back then. It's something I loved to do in every Thursday night. But now that arc is over quickly in 7 chapters and nothing more than a lot of ooc and the already fun, heartwarming and funny scenes are gone.
And Lloyd and suho's conversation :( Their conversation had everything we wanted. Tension, fun, and many other things that webcomic chooses to omit. Maybe it drags on for them and they want to speed up the story (which even if they don't, the webcomic will end in 200 chapters anyway) and it's... ;(
Especially with how suho be like, “hey don't expect a comfortable ride from this.” And at the same time, he was like, “Hey do you have motion sickness I will remove the trap for you and that way you can vomit.” God, them 😭😭😭😭😭 them 😭😭😭😭 same for og lloyd tbh even though he keeps being a scumbag (he always does that) and a whining bastard (he always does that.2) but when he accidentally yet intentionally mentioned to suho's parents and find out that this fake's parents are already passed away he was like, he was silent for a sec before giving suho some encouragement (?) in his own way. please kill me.

I'm still considering redrawing this chapter! To be honest, I was worried that it would violate the rules regarding reproduction and adaptation of works. So I'm thinking about whether I should choose to draw just a few scene as workbait for gaining more novel readers. That would be a pretty good thing,
and god, yes, Hellkaros and Suho!! So many details were cut out that I couldn't stand it. It's really painful. Maybe I should try drawing their conversation the way it should be after my exams are over! (Help I have a lot of exams next week)

Man...the more I write, the more sad I become when these good things are replaced with something. I don't know, you thought it was boring so you changed it? Even if it's just an unnecessary conversation but you know what? That allows readers to get to know the characters more. Get to know the character's attitude more. And can also relate more to that character...but...sigh. just. Sigh.
So I'm going to share my views on og lloyd right here. Tbh, he's a trash. Yes, he's inherently bad. And some people are just that bad no matter how good their family is. But if you try to analyze it through lloyd's pov on his home and his family. It's another kind. He finds his place boring and he is always dissatisfied with it. But with the little information we've gotten about what he was like when he was very young, and things he's noticed, even he considers them very boring. Of course, even though this bitch is a trash lol I never forgive him for what he had done (like-hate relationship for me and him lol)
Okay so. Hear me out. He did care for his family (*ahem* JAVIER EXCLUDED!!!!) but instead of changing himself he chose to let it be....yeah ykwim🤷♂️ As I've said before, he cares about his family and he knows he shouldn't have done that in the first place. But he was not the one to even say it because he thought he would do it in his next life. What makes you think that he'll do whatever tf he does in the webcomic? And ;) they replaced these precious conversation with that. Changed long ass heartwarming conversation into 3 speech bubbles just to sped up the story and ooc'd literally every characters. I'm so okay sir. I'm completely okay.

i kinda talked myself into liking it and while i still find a bit farfetched in canon, fanon is a completely different beast. yes i do see the fandom being big on og javier and tyrant alicia.
this is a fandom that most certainly thrives on seeing their blorbo suffer through the Horrors™, they wouldn't be able to resist such an angsty ship.
also i'm obsessed with the dynamic you gave them. corrupted woman trying to destroy everything in her path and man doomed to live though the tragedies. forever locked in battle. unstoppable force meets immovable object. it is very compelling when you put it like that.
the issue would be getting those two to not kill each other on first sight but fandom has concocted weirder premises. they could figure it out.
personally i'm thinking of a twist of the yi city arc from mdzs, with an injured alicia being separated from her troops for some reason and javier helping her without being aware of just who he is taking care of. seeing as we never get confirmation these two even met in person in the novel, we can handwave away javier not recognizing the tyrant queen as him either never seeing a good portrait of the queen or her changing so much in the years after her descend into madness that she looks nothing like what he'd expect of her.
alicia would bristle at the idea of having to relay on a stranger, a vagrant knight at that, for help, her paranoia and distrust not allowing her to accept javier's aid easily, always being on edge waiting for him to stab her in the back. only to slowly realize that no, there's no hidden motive, javier is just,,, like that. to everyone who needs his help. she's not special, she's not important, she's not anyone of interest to him. and he's still helping her because it's the right thing to do. i think that would break through her insanity a little bit, realizing that she's not,,, someone javier would have any interest on betraying because as far as he knows he has nothing to gain from it.
the relief of finally for the first time in years being allowed to lower her guard because there's no threats around her would allow her mind to regain some of the clarity she'd lost in the midst of her feelings of betrayal and pain.
javier treating her like a person would make her be alicia again and not just the tyrant queen.
meanwhile javier is just. really glad there's been no attacks by the queen recently, cause he really doesn't want to let the injured woman he found on the side of the road all by herself again. she's clearly not well and has been hurt a lot in the past and he wants to make sure she's okay before they go separate ways.
and it's nice. to not be so alone. most of the people he helps have homes and families to go back to and he doesn't begrudge them for that but it does make it all the more lonely to constantly move from one place to another, knowing he has nowhere to go back to.
the woman isn't nice, her words are biting and full with suspicions and threats, she won't even tell him her name but when he asked if there was anywhere safe she could go to, friends or family she could turn to for help, her silence spoke for her.
it's selfish of him. but he's glad they get to have one another, if only for a little while. he knows it won't last, the queen or lupellan or another threat will rise up once again and he'll leave to protect the people that need it. but for now. it's nice.

i think my issues with the canon romance at the end can be summarized by that competition alicia holds to win lloyd's hand.
she's like 'oh your new body sucks you need to marry someone who can protect you 24/7' so she holds a tournament to find the strongest woman in the continent and marry him to her so he'll have built-in bodyguard. which is objectively the funniest thing she could've done i love her so much. but. like. it's so unnecessary, redundant and also just,,,, factually incorrect??? ajdhka god lemme explain

a swordsmanship competition. to decide who gets to marry lloyd. remind me what character have we spent the entire novel being told and shown over and over and over again is the most powerful and strongest swordsman in literally the entire world???
