@eat-the-witch that sounds interesting, thank you! (spin pins by goody)
Did you know 2 Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins are the equivalent of 40 bobby pins?
My hair is doing its damnedest (huh...didn't know that was the proper spelling for that word) to overcome these spin pins. Must have been a tad damp last night.

Just spent like, twenty minutes using spin pins to put my hair in mini-buns. Definitely a learning curve here, but I think once I figure out how they work with my (thick, slick-y, layered, crazy) hair, they are gonna be my favorite thing. Thanks bfab11 <3 <3
Alright listen here you little shits.
These are called Spin Pins by Goody. They are one of the coolest hair products I've ever used. Basically you "twirl your hair up and spin the two Spin Pins in for a perfect undone bun, side bun or double bun!"
If you can't get the hang of them at first DON'T GIVE UP...it takes some practice to get used to them.
What's great about this product?????
they actually work!!
Unlike hair ties, these guys won't give you that ugly bump when you take your hair out. Actually if you do your hair with these when it's wet and let it dry when you have these in, it gives you a really nice wavy texture without a giant bump
They come in 2 colors. Gold-for lighter hair and brown- for darker hair.
They last forever!!!! These guys are metal so they don't break or get bent up too easily. (However if you get the gold, the paint will eventually wear off, that's the only downside)
They keep your hair secure. You might think by looking at them they won't do much but I swear to god they work so well! My hair doesn't fall out and I never have to fix them. I even wear them when I go to the gym and even while running my hair stays secure.
So this is what my hair looks like after I've put them in
You can do a lot of different things with them: pull your hair down to the side and make a side bun, you can do something really messy and undone or very polished and neat! It's totally up to you.
If you're interested in trying these you can get them at wal-mart, Giant, Kmart, pretty much any drugstore with a hair care section. They cost about $5-$7, depending on where you get them. I've also heard that you can get them at the dollar store, but a friend of mine got her set there and they felt kinda cheap, and more like they were made of plastic than metal. If you do decide to buy them I would just spend the $7, it may be more expensive but the better quality is worth it.
