Hi Tumblr.

Two colleagues of mine are doing a study on how people view popular superheroes and heroines from the movies.
It would help them *immensely* if those of you with even a passing interest in superheroes and superhero cultures - and I KNOW there’s a TON of you - could complete the survey in the link above. Even if you have no interest in such things, it would be helpful to them to have that perspective accounted for.
Help some fellow geeks out?

The official Starbucks facebook account reviewed my pitches for new Frappuccinos based on mythical creatures to follow the unicorn one
I love how it starts out with the dragon one which could theoretically be done and then just devolves into “it’s just blood”.
I know right jsjsjsj
I love this too much
The last week has been so ridiculous even the satirists can’t take it any more
Satire about satire… that is meta as hell.
Three Types of Millennial Humor
Surrealist: Eggs are our enemies ಠ~ಠ
Dark: Roses are red, we all crave death
Surrealist Dark: I scream into the void, the void screams back, the void understood.

Meet 63-year-old Lyn Slater, who has, until recently, been an ordinary professor at Fordham University. One day she went to meet a friend for lunch outside the Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week. Foreign journalists suddenly surrounded her, mistaking her for a fashion icon and attracting spectatorsIt was a defining moment that turned Lyn into an ‘Accidental Icon’. Her blog of the same name, inspired by the experience, soon began making international waves. She is now a public voice against ageism in the fashion industry and the world.
“Fashion and my style help me struggle against that invisibility that comes with age.“
She was once asked about the old notion of ‘dressing for one’s age,’ and her response was clear:
“We use language to control people’s behavior. This phrase is a way of putting older women in their place. I’m certain that if you feel comfortable in your own clothes, it’s completely irrelevant how old you are.”

17TH RULE OF FIGHT CLUB: PLEASE DON’T PUT YOUR MOM AS YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACT, WE DON’T WANT ANYONE’S MOM SHOWING UP HERE MAKING THINGS WEIRD
"There are a lot of misconceptions about self-care out there."
1. Self-care is fighting back. It is standing up to everything that pulls against your happiness, attention and sense of self-worth.
Someone needs to poach the entire design team that does shoes for Ivanka Trump because I am really sick of seeing all these pairs of shoes that I love, but on principle refuse to purchase. If they go work for someone else, then I can happily purchase things.
