The angel’s head tipped to the side, Castiel not bothering to even try to hide the look of surprise on his face. As far as he’d known, Meg had been killed by Crowley so... how was she still alive. How was she here and better still, how had she found him. So many questions with no answers, though he couldn’t deny it was nice to see her again. They had a history, the two of them, Meg having watched over him when he’d taken on Sam’s burden of Lucifer. She’d become... important to him, in a way that even the angel couldn’t begin to try to explain.
“ I could say the same for you, Meg, ” he spoke in turn, slowly taking a few steps closer to her. “ How are you here? How are you... alive? ”
