I’ve been in Madagascar almost a week now. Wonderful to be back after five years away (I used to come every year!). Right now we are in Ranomafana, visiting the national park for a few days before we make our way down to the east coast. Our destination are two areas of littoral and lowland rainforest; some of the last habitat of its kind in Madagascar. I am using the time in Ranomafana as an opportunity to introduce the team I’ve brought with me to basic field methods in herpetology, and also get some photos of species I’ve previously not managed to photograph. The image above of Spinomantis aglavei is one I’ve wanted to take for a long time.
