Spiny Norman presents: Siwa (7" Version)
okey okey this it fire amazing musicians here
Siwa” is a hypnotic instrumental journey blending indie electronic textures, kraut-inspired repetition and late-night dance grooves. Cinematic, moody and slowly unfolding like a mirage in the desert
Psychedelic funk | Surf rock | Groningen |
Built around warm grooves, psychedelic textures and subtle electronic energy, the track slowly pulls the listener into a trance-like atmosphere somewhere between krautrock, psych funk and minimal techno.
Rather than focusing on technical showmanship, the band leans into feel, repetition and tension, letting small changes and layered rhythms create momentum. “Siwa” feels like an oasis: warm, mysterious and constantly moving.
For fans of Glass Beams, Khruangbin, Can and other groove-driven psychedelic acts with an electronic edge.
Spiny Norman presents: Veil of the Moon
Surfing and psychedelic
A cosmic love story, told in reverb and rhythm.
A fever dream of sun-drenched guitars and cosmic longing, Veil of the Moon is a sonic mirage where surf rock tides crash into psychedelic horizons. With echoes of Khruangbin’s hypnotic grooves, Babe Rainbow's kaleidoscopic shimmer, and Manu Chao’s restless wanderlust, Spiny Norman weaves a tale of celestial romance—the eternal chase between the sun and the moon, meeting only in the fleeting embrace of an eclipse.
Beneath its shimmering surface, cryptic voices emerge—samples whispering of a fractured timeline, a lost Apollo 11, a history that never was. The song drifts, ascends, and finally explodes—an orchestral crescendo, a face-melting solo, the sound of the universe unraveling.
A love story. A cosmic tragedy. A parallel reality. Veil of the Moon is the sound of the stars holding their breath.

Spiny Norman is an enigmatic force from the Netherlands, crafting soundscapes that exist in a realm between worlds—where psychedelic funk, surf rock, and Thai funk merge seamlessly with trip-hop. This trio forges their genre-bending style from a self-built studio, where warm, punchy rhythms meet lush harmonies, fuzzy guitars, and hypnotic grooves. Their music evokes a surreal journey, reminiscent of both Pink Floyd’s atmospheric depth and the visceral edge of old-school hip-hop.
Shifting from danceable, punchy beats to sprawling, trippy soundtracks, Spiny Norman defies the ordinary. Each track flows with a cinematic darkness, a mysterious twist on psychedelic funk that invites listeners to dive deep or drift away. Fans of Khruangbin’s sultry riffs, Air’s haunting melodies, and Glass Beams’ mystical soundscapes will find Spiny Norman an irresistible listen, blending high-quality production with a gritty DIY spirit.
