My ear stays glued to his chest,

listening for proof that the gentle thump behind his ribcage somehow means I’m safe there.

His heart hums a sound so small it masks as innocent,

so steady it almost convinces me that

the rhythm is the same thing as devotion.

I tell myself this is what love must sound like,

I tell myself that the comforting vibration must be some type of proof of his softness.

But I know

I know there is nothing safe about the man that lies underneath me,

I know that warmth does not swear

truth or comfort or stability,

or love.

I know that a man can offer you his pulse

and still keep his truth locked behind cold hard bone.

I lie, still, on top of him

listening to the sweet soft hum

never again believing he is what he says he is.

Because wanting is a reflex,

my body leans in for more of him,

even when my mind is rock.

I let it hum me into tenderness,

knowing full well

that some songs are truly only beautiful

because they make you feel seen and alive,

not safe.

Alright heket art but the rest of this post I’ll be talking about some of her stuff in my au to flesh her out a little since she’s the one I talked about less I feel

To start temple and teachings

Now as I have said before all bishops have their main temple and heket is no exception

•her temple will be filled with greenery. Flowers, crops, you name it if it’s grows she probably has it

•like kallamar does say in game do her temple is the worst when it comes to cleanliness all do truly at the time of my au its not that bad it will get worse only post narinder event

For now do at most you’ll see mold or a dead creature

•now teachings are agriculture and drug related i will add more on this later

Anura productions

The land of agriculture produces the most food out of all regions for obvious reasons

Heket herself is the heart of the food production of all the old faith

Anura also help train and teach the other bishops followers on the affects of drugs,the nutritional value of things and or the ground itself

Mini fun facts that are relevant to the plot in a way

•Anura has the largest amount of cannibals in the lands of the old faith

Cannibalism itself isn’t encouraged nor denied how ever it seems heket’s followers are more particular about the flesh they enjoy

•spore grotto is a restricted area of Anura.something about the large skull.. some fallen god or so that’s what the legend says

•the hottest region of the old faith , things rot fastest there

Btw I might do stuff like more often because rn I haven’t been to motivated to draw so il write to at least give some lore about my au

I will make continue the comic itself to but I am waiting on woolhaven to come out since my au is depending on the lore in it

But I will add that heket will most likely be the one to have focus after shamura in my comic

Anyway I hope those who read enjoy my writing since I did really like writing all this and if this is enjoyed enough I will do more stuff like this

Alright finished the narinder wip so il add some lore kinda about his cult in my au

For main temple

His temple is very clean all do quite grim his domain being death his past disciples have a graveyard in the temple itself

Nothing special to point out how ever their is a massive amount of candles every where and they are always lit

The location of his cult doesn’t have a canon name in game so for now as a place holder il call it vivid souls

Reason for the name is the area would be quite flat so winds are always present and the voices of the dead souls can be vividly heard by some followers ( again place holder and this is in the physical world just to specify))))

Now vivid souls in the lands on the old faith produces probably the most minerals there are very large minds in the edge nearby silk cradle

Teachings

For now in this time he won’t be reviving followers he instead teaches about the rings of the after life (7 sins and 7 heavenly virtues))

He promises to his followers a place in heaven if they follow him and that he will forgive any sins of their mortal life

That being said he isn’t the most truthful with them.

Relavent fun facts (in some way))

•the only bishop without a spouse is narinder

•Narinder would be happy to torture and revive a follower who owns the bishops answers

•doesn’t eat followers or at least not anymore the flavour got bland over time

•sacrifices the most followers out of any bishop
