hi babe!! i was watching byler edits on tiktok and i'm ?? is it possible this is a planned canon event? all of mike's strange scenes with eleven in the recent season, his inability to tell her he loves her. i don't know if i noticed all this stuff before, but mike being gay (or bi) could really make a lot of sense! it's almost like mike is unaware/confused about his own feelings. like he's fighting with himself. mike's uncertainty about everything even irritated me a little, which is why i had lost interest in his character lately. BUT byler unfolding on screen could really explain everything weird going on with mike 😅 i hope it's heading in that direction 🤞
hey babe. well, i'm a byler shipper since 2016 so you know i've been keeping an eye on mike's behaviour for ages, but yeah.. it's clear that his relationship with el was an infantile infatuation trauma bond type of thing. they meet and kiss within a week and then she's gone for most of s2. in s3 they spend too much time together and their relationship problems start. then in s4 we see mike unable to say i love you to her (much like nancy with steve in s2) and he only does under the pressure of her trying to survive + will holding his hand through it.
there really is so much byler evidence that i couldn't even begin to put it in this answer... but yeah i'm glad you're on the byler train ❤️
