I need to come up with a moot tag

One of mine moved to a new blog and she goes by rose now

I don't know if you still need one and I've never before in my life made or used one but my first thought was to make it connected to some quote or reference

in which case "a rose by any other name" but that might be too long (idk your standards for moot tags) and also too cliché

the second thing I thought of was "my rosebud boy" as a reference to the simon snow trilogy, which is shorter but I don't know if that would fit your mutual.

I looked up some other quotes and another could be "love planted a rose" though you could alter that to be "love planted my Rose" because I think you have a trend of using my in your moot tags? I may be misremembering

you could also go for alliteration like "my reveling Rose" or "my rose reward," but of course customize that to fit your mutual. I just picked random r words because I don't know this person as an example.

those were my first thoughts at least! if you still needed them, that is. I have no experience in this field so. Feel free to ignore everything I said!

Like I usually try to reason the thoughts away about it but sometimes it gets a little too loud and I can't stop thinking about it. I try and use the "i'm not half of either but a complete whole of each" argument but like. I'm not even half. I'm a quarter mexican. Which is like...it doesn't feel like enough.

I am. completely in the dark about basically everything. All my mexican family lives in mexico and I have zero contact with any of them. My dad sometimes emails them, but I certainly am not involved in that. And aside from them? Everyone's white. Everyone's american. My dad, sister, and I are the three anomalies amongst every other person on each side.

But like...there's still this quarter that's not like that, and I don't want to ignore it but when I cling onto it knowing so little I just think of all those comments about how white people want to be special and always take things that aren't theirs and I don't want to do that. But i'm always aware of that because I'm always aware of just how much it feels like it doesn't belong to me.

I want it to and I want to know but like. I'm so far behind and so disconnected from everything always.

anyway please don't mind the little vent it's just gotten to me today

The thing is like I don’t look white

But summer?

So I can’t just act like I’m white

I gotta be honest I have lost all sense of how I look because I try not to think about it or get too caught up in it, but also yeah!

It changes! And that messes with my head. I'm pale but also sometimes in certain lighting and times of year you look at me and it's like "...there's something more here..." but it's so subject to change that it always throws me off whether or not that's a part of the experience I have or not. Sometimes I'll be sitting and look up and see my skin and go "have I always been this brown???" and othertimes I'll take photos and wonder "am I really this pale??" like that one photo of my hair from the other day I looked at and went??? because I look practically pallid and blank when irl I've got pretty clear yellow undertones

I grew up very solidly a brown kid so that's how I thought of myself but then I started staying inside a lot more (to read) and now it's been years and I'm not brown anymore and it's so disorienting.

I don't have the exact same experience as you, as as far as I can tell I get treated like a white person all times of the year, but I also don't go places like ever so maybe I'm wrong.

We're both in this weird not quite one not quite the other space, so emotionally I am giving you a high-five of solidarity over it!
