Spitfire Drabble: A Beautiful Broken Little Thing
Here's a little thing I came up with on my way home today. It's just a disorganized little drabble I had to get out of my system. Let me know what you think. I love feedback. :)
Wally was the first guy that ever looked at her as anything more than damaged goods. Sure, he saw her broken pieces, but unlike the others he didn’t try to fix her. He didn’t try to save her. Artemis was never his charity case.
He knew her heart had been shattered.
He knew of her pain.
He knew how some things could never fully heal, but that didn’t matter. He loved her all the same.
He loved her for her flaws and imperfections.
He loved her for her weary eyes and untrusting complexion.
He loved her for her usual scowl and her rare smiles.
He loved her for her dry humor and harsh insults.
He loved her for her for her lies and convictions.
He loved her for her scars and her broken heart.
He loved her no matter what she did, what she went through, and where she came from. He saw her for what she truly was but never tried to piece her back together. Unlike the others he saw the beauty she possessed within that was hidden under her pain. He saw the hope in her eyes that had been abandoned years before, yet, while forgotten it still had a small presence. He could see as she faced the world that her past defined all of her actions but her hope for a better future dominated her will.
He saw her as a wonderful and beautiful. No one else had ever seen her in that aspect.
All her life she had been treated as a weapon. Artemis had been taken for granted countless times. She had never been taught to have anymore self worth than a dog. She was to do as she was told. Nothing more, nothing less. Her sole purpose was to repay a debt for others’ shortcomings. Slowly the hope she had always contained inside of her heart was beaten away. The more she was shattered the harder she became. She grew to accept the fact that she could not be loved in the state that she was in. She had to heal. She had to fix herself to be accepted by the world.
Wally changed that. He never tried to offer her a salvation but he did save her. It was his unconditional love that taught her how to see the beauty in her own eyes. It was his love that taught her how to love herself. And that was all Artemis ever needed.
Dear YJ fandom: Is okay that you give me all this tears tonight? Is really neccesary to say that maybe Artemis or Wally are the one who died? Is true that someone have to die? PD: i love every single one of you, and my heart is bleeding
