Take me to the graveyard
Kiss my pain away
Lay me down
It all gets a little too much
Darkness is overwhelming
I'm a burden of
Cigarette lungs and whiskey teardrops
An empty corpse waiting to feel alive

To say do not disturb my vigil, I know, was more of an excuse than a proper explanation. To neglect the insecurities you feel, I know, was me being more of a Houdini than a lover's validation. But did you ever ponder what stress is knocking upon my door, Throughout my final quarter of compulsory service, Quite frankly, babe, All I needed was a little bit more time, Time you couldn't afford to give, A little more times. Yes, we did hustle hard for the best in us, To take the wheel and drive through the hardest times. But the hard times seemed to have bent us out of shape, Leaving me only a mouthful of broken lines. But would you ever turn around and retrace the steps we took, Every smile on the beautiful journey we made. Because, I swear, we are beautiful if you could only take a second look, Before the goodbyes, you so often bade. Maybe a little sliver of chance is all I ask for, A chance to let you know I will always fight, With you, For us. Perhaps then you'd see me through a little further, Just enough to hold me a little tighter, Because my arms will never let go. As I slowly whisper I need you so.

"Yes, I believe in fairytales. The kind where everything becomes totally worth it in the end because at the end of this road, I hope. I hope we'll be written like one as we walk into the sun happily ever-after. Where all is in it's place. Finally, resting again in the arms that I call home."
