There has been a new King Salmonid sighting!
This specimen is called Megalodontia, and is said to be much larger than any other King Salmonid seen so far. Its large mouth is said to be capable of eating just about anything. No further details are known, but according to Grizzco, it's likely to come ashore early December.

From Greater Inkopolis comes H2Whoa, with some refreshing BGM for battles! Despite having just formed, this band has already attracted tons of attention. The rock-loving youths of the Splatlands are puzzled, but can't hide their interest, saying "The pretentious lyrics and visuals are kinda annoying, but the candidness of it is fresh."

One radio station in Splatsville gave one of their songs a heavy amount of play, and H2Whoa began to garner attention. Time to introduce, that song, called "Aquasonic". We have obtained a document that appears to be a blueprint of the Splattercolor Screen that appeared in a recent video. It seems to be equipped with a mechanism to deploy a sheet, and is capable of affecting an Inkling's vision. Further research results will be reported on later.

The Super Chump is a new special weapon! Shoot a large number of decoys around where you target, and they'll stick to the ground. Decoys are destroyed when attacked by opponents, but decoys that aren't destroyed will explode and scatter ink after a set amount of time.
We've obtained footage of the Super Chump. A marker appears at the landing point of the decoy, the same marker that's used for Super Jumps. There's time between the launch and the landing of the decoys, so you can move to a better position while your opponents are distracted.

Time to unleash the new special weapon, the Kraken Royale! Transform into a giant squid or octopus and scatter your opponents. Jump to perform a spinning attack, which is low on power but has a wide range. You can also charge up with ZR to take out opponents in a single blow!
We've obtained a video showcasing the ecology of the Kraken. Although there's a slow start up and end time, once the transformation is complete, enemy damage is nullified. Combo those charged ZR button attacks, squid rolls, and squid surges to hunt down your opponents!

「テイオウイカ」の生態を記録した動画を入手した。 使用前後の隙が大きいものの、変身が完了すれば相手からのダメージを無効化できる。 ZRボタンでの突撃や、イカノボリ、イカロールといったアクションを組み合わせて相手を追い詰めよう。
