CHAPTER 4 - PART 1

Hello!

We're dropping the start of Chapter 4 and moving forward with the main plot.

With the dating season now behind us, we know there are still some rough transitions between the “dates” in Chapter 3, and we'll come back to those later.

For MC's romancing Sieun or Seb, there's only a neutral path available.

This update adds roughly 20K words of new content, but the biggest portion goes toward major progress on the soulmate route.

I also finished writing all the possible outcomes for MC's sweet time with Mark during the “fishing trip.” That makes 7 different outcomes in total. It was a real headache. 🤯

I'd really appreciate bug reports because those fishing trip endings make this extra branchy.

Needed to update the demo once more because choosing Mark as the main RO in Skip wasn’t working correctly. It only worked when the main RO was Prue/Rue. Fixed now.

There was a bug mixing the neutral path and the soulmate path. I didn't locate it yet, but made a workaround.

Seb's update is up!

It adds 35K words of content (with code).

The update includes two routes: Sieun’s route and Seb’s route.

At one point in the game, an awkward question about the main RO may appear, which locks other routes.

Later on, this will be expanded with branching routes (🍅 and MC who got kicked out) but there wasn’t enough time to implement them before CH4.

To avoid blocking CH4 chronologically, I had to make some compromises.😪🥺

This date will receive some polishing within about two weeks.

We're dropping part 1 of CHAPTER 3 which adds 35K of new content and optional "date" with Rupert/Prudence which significantly develops their romance route.

There were plans to include Anna's Sieun date, but she's still working on it, and I can't wait to share with you what I've cooked for the gig and Rue/Prue's romance path 😉🤘💓

So, if you're skipping the gig, I'm afraid there's not that much, but it's still the legit start of the chapter and the plot moves on... with a bang.

And as always, we’ve included a skip option.

It adds 27K words of content (with code) and also new content warnings, which are spoilers, so I'm not talking about them here (you may check them if needed in the in-game list or in the pinned post here on Tumblr).

There's additional content for MCs with soulmates and some flavor text for artistic MCs.

Hello!

Since Chapter 3 is turning into a dating sim contains long, separate sections for each romance option, we figured it’s time to properly introduce ourselves and explain how this project actually works.

Having two authors on IF isn’t super common, and for good reason, because there are pros and cons to that. We can write faster and brainstorm more ideas, but… we clash. A lot. Two creative people with strong (and sometimes slightly different) visions for the story will do that.

So, how does it work?

Main plot, MC, Paul/a, and most side characters We fight over everything colaboarte here to keep everything consistent. We do have natural leanings, though.

Romanceable characters (ROs) This is where our collaboration ends. Starting in Chapter 3, each romance route is written separately by one of us, so you’ll definitely notice the differences.

Who writes whom? (And who you can complain to 😄)

Zoe → Mark and Rupert/Prudence

Anna → Sieun and Sebastian

So, long story short, we’re two very different writers with very different styles. For the sake of the story (and our mental health), we decided not to touch each other’s RO content.

That way the project stays alive, and we don’t accidentally murder each other.

Hello,

I'm dropping an update for Sieun's date. It adds 52K words of content (including code).

There are three routes for Sieun: male MC, female MC, and the male MC "from the bar."

Players who called Sieun to help with the kids will also get additional content featuring Robin and his mom - it’s short, but it's there :)

The update is long and quite branched, so please report any bugs; some might have slipped through. (I'll get to them as soon as I recover my eyesight after spending so much time in a cave with Sieun)

You can choose to jump straight to the update by using the "SKIP to Chapter 3" option (it's the last one).

Prue/Rue romance guide.

Here's the detailed guide for the soulmate route as it requires a few specific choices (if not using SKIP).

Set the soulmate gender according to MC’s attraction. Then starting from Chapter 3.

Go to the concert and agree to hang out with Prue/Rue afterward.

Be honest about Paul/a, the mafia, and healing.

Sit with them on the bed (or move to the bed later).

Get to know them (ask at least 7 questions; those are composed in a way that lets you set the mood better).

When they ask about your relationship status, choose that they’re the only one you’re interested in, or if there is someone else, don’t admit that to them.

When they try to lean on you after talking about their dad, let them or even hug them.

After “It’s getting late,” choose “Let’s talk about us.” Then kiss them or let them make the first step.

When they confess their feelings, admit that you feel the same and agree to stay the night. Advancing romance with Seb or Sieun would deactivate the soulmate route.

At the end of Chapter 3, message them to possibly change their name in your contacts, and when thinking about them, decide if you want to continue on this route. Then decide if you’re going to be chill or possibly possessive in your interactions.
