Memory Loss
I hid secrets in dark corners
Told the world I had some fight left
And knocked them out
At every battle, so far.
Even when I’m crumbling
I mend fragments together
I leave home with no shoes, too often.
Somehow, despite finding my escape
My surroundings are a mystery
My problems have caught up with me
Shooting me down
Possessing me with identity loss
Somehow, instead of having freedom
I’ve lost:
My memories,
My friends,
My life,
My self.
