BUT WHY IS THE DOG BACK IF NONE OF THE PEOPLE ARE
Okay but a friend of mine told me that she was gonna rewatch Supernatural, which got me thinking…
Was it ever answered/addressed on what the crap happens to monsters after being killed in Purgatory? I’m up at 1:30am so this could just be me needing to go to sleep, but still. Low key this question is really bothering me if it wasn’t ever addressed in the show because then I’d really like to know. Or maybe I should just get some sleep. Who knows for sure.
Sorry for taking a while to answer this and not getting back to you whilst you were still being kept awake! I hope you weren't up too late? Tbh at the time I was probably still awake reading Spideypool fanfiction because I have zero self control either lmao
Ahem. Anyway, Unless it was explained in that finale that I have mostly tried to erase from my brain, then no I don't think it was ever addressed again.
Though I suppose its one of those questions that compared to all the other horrible plot holes and unanswered questions that left a gaping wound in fandom and basically ruined the show for everyone, it wasn't really all that important.
I think it was assumed that any monsters killed in purgatory would just reset and wake up again in purgatory? Since it certainly looked like Benny got killed a few times whilst down there and he always came back. I don't think it was ever mentioned that they go to the Empty because the Empty specifically told Cas that only Angels and Demons went there when they died. Not Monsters.
That's my assumption anyway. Monsters die and get rebooted like they are in a video game.
Crowley had the power to grant all sorts of deals, give them special skills, bring people back from the dead, etc. Just because he could barter for their souls in exchange doesn't mean he had to.
So why didn't he help in a fight by giving the scooby gang tfw powers? Just when it suited his needs, say in the fight against Abaddon.
Society if Crowley had brought Kevin and Charlie back from the dead, cured s8 Kevin of the need to eat and sleep, or at least given Sam some superpowered ear plugs, ... that he'd snap back at inopportune times of course.
TFW's plan for Chuck forgoing snapping the boys away and beating them up instead doesn't make any sense. Them surviving the beating doesn't make any sense. ... Unless we headcanon that his power was already draining. That Chuck didn't snap them away because he couldn't, or at least wasn't sure he could and didn't want to lose face. Chuck was wailing on Sam and Dean but they start to get up, gasping for air. He looks nervous when he then covers and goes to snap.
A few tweaks to the scene or Rob's facial expressions and it could have shown that Jack was already draining Chuck of his powers, that draining Michael took too much out of him.
He just keeps punching them and they keep getting up. In fact they get up faster after the first few times. You're telling me that THEE literal god can't punch a Winchester hard enough in the face that he can't get back up?
Finally they get up and Chuck is NERVOUS and yet he still doesn't try to snap him away. It makes no sense for their lil plan to hinge on Chuck deciding to beat them up for ... ??reasons??? and that Jack wouldn't have tried to intervene sooner. So it has to have be interpreted as Chuck covering the fact that he didn't know if he even could snap them away. that he didn't want to try and lose face if he couldn't. Don't worry, this still leaves plenty of plotholes.
SPN first time around
So I’m watching SPN for the first time and I just finished season 9. I’m taking a short break because this season annoyed me so much. Theres a lot of plot points that I disagree with, but what bothers me more of the massive fucking plot holes. I love the show, but I just want to put down some of the biggest plot holes that have really been annoying me:
Tess the reaper kinda turns into an angel??? Like she’s visible now when reapers are supposed to be only visible at death and she dies which shouldn’t be possible
8x15 versus ALL OF SEASON 9. Dean wouldn’t let Sam do the trials because he knew he would die and Sam PROMISED he would survive and then he gets mad at Dean for saving him when Dean has already said that he would t let Sam die.
Sam uses his own blood when attempting to cure Crowley even though he is the boy with the demon blood, so his blood technically shouldn’t work because it’s tainted.
Also Sam’s demon blood is just a huge hole. Like when Azazel gave it to him he said that it never leaves your system, which is why it was still in him 22 years later but when he invested it it would wear off?
And even if I can overlook that it never addresses his phsycic powers again. Like at one point in S2 he was like Dean I moved a table with my brain and after that it went back to visions and after he started drinking blood his own powers are NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN
We have two different stories of how demons came to be. One version says that Lucifer created them out of souls and the other says that Cain became a demon. Is this ever gonna be addressed???
In season 8 Dean is constantly on Sam’s ass for taking a year off even when he did the same thing with Lisa and Ben? Like I get that Sam’s not allowed to bring them up but still Dean took a year off too, he’s guilty of trying to leave the life
Also that Lisa and Ben are never mentioned again but WHATEVER
After season 5 they act like they’ve never been wanted by the FBI. Like Sam gave Amelia his real name and they use their real names all the time and I’m just waiting for the FBI to catch their trail again
There are more but I’m pretty sure they’ve been ranted about before. Please feel free to go off
Why don’t Sam and Dean have a bunch of scars on their palms from all the times they had to cut their hands?
If everyone knew they were leaving Gabriel and Lucifer in the AU wth Michael, how did they think they were getting the rift open again? I know Bobby said something about not being able to go back in 13,23, but they all should have known immediately that they didnt have an archangel now.
Maybe there should be a rule in Supernatural that a character can't be killed by their own weapon!! Seriously, we've lost two fan favourites that way!!!
