Part 1│Part 2│Part 3│Part 4│Part 5│Part 6│
You had beenat Stanford for a grand total of five months. Summer had long since disappeared and Christmas had come and gone. The biting cold still hanging in the air outside your window much like your breath would if you were to step into the courtyard not far below your dorm. You and Sam had become inseparable in this time, an unstoppable force if you will, what with your rooms coincidentally being on the same floor, in the same corridor, right next to each other. I mean really, what are the chances?
You had even invited him over to your family’s house for Christmas. After hearing his own plans were something along the lines of, “nothing much,” you had insisted. Of course, your parents had loved him to pieces,
“ooh you can marry him.” You’d gasped,
“Mum please, we’re friends and that’s all.” You’d gone a little pink at the possibility of Sam hearing her, causing her to chuckle as she mistook your blushed cheeks for confirmation of her thoughts. Parents, honestly. Aside from that little moment, the holiday had gone without flaw, and your parents were sure to invite him back stating that he made a lovely salad and winking at you.
Now however, you were back in your dorm. Sam was laying on his stomach atop your mattress writing notes on something or another, going through an alarming amount of strawberry cables, while you were sat at your desk typing furiously in an attempt to finish a paper while you were on a roll. You had just hit 1000 words when you heard a heavy sigh from behind you and the plastic casing of a pen, thudding against paper.
“(Y/N),” he dragged out the letters of your name so that it sounded more like a groan than somebody trying to get your attention. You opted for not turning away from the screen, powering on, if I can just get this finished.
“Hey,” he called again. You continued to type, “are you ignoring me?” He was slowly proving more and more distracting.
“Shh.” You could just picture the disbelief on his face.
“(Y/N) (Y/L/N) did you just shush me?” Silence…You almost sighed in relief, when something soft suddenly hit the back of your head. You swivelled your chair around to look between Sam and the offending strawberry cable that was now lying on the ground.
“Wha-?”
“I’m bored.” He stated so matter of factly that you laughed out loud for a moment.
“Well fancy choosing law as a major, it is the most boring subject ever.” Another strawberry cable was thrown, this one hitting your chest.
“Take that back.”
“No can do compadre, my parents didn’t raise a liar.”
“Fine, then I might as well tell you that everyone calls the psychology majors psychos.”
You laughed again, “they do not, you just made that up.”
“Sorry (Y/N), the truth hurts.”
“Whatever,” you threw one of the fallen sweets at him, “nerd.”
“Loser.” You turned back to your laptop, shaking your head as you did so at his rubbish come back, “I’m still bored you know.”

Part 1│Part 2│Part 3│Part 4│Part 5│Part 6│
“Yeah mumI’ll miss you guys too,” you shifted your shoulder slightly in the hopes of securing the phone’s place between the joint and your ear, “I’ll be fine, I’ll come home for Christmas.” The muffled snuffling on the other end of the phone got slightly louder as you paused momentarily, moving your knee to push up the boxes that were slowly slipping from your vice like grip, before continuing to walk in the direction of your dorm. “Mum please don’t cry, this is a good thing, I got accepted into Stanford. My dream school. This is a win. Besides we can skype and talk, I’m a big girl now I can look after myself.”
“I know, I know. I’m so proud of you, I just wish it wasn’t so far away.”
“Me too mum, but I- oof,” your phone clattered to the floor seconds before you did, the boxes that had already been slipping from your hands opening partially causing half of their contents to land on you, the rest flying across the pathway. You craned your neck to look up at the moron that had walked into you as he was rounding a corner, noting just how tall he was as you did so. You opened your mouth to let out a few choice words when he began apologising.
“Oh shit. I’m so sorry, I was looking at my map and I guess I didn’t see you, here let me help you get that.” He bent to pick up your phone, from which you could hear you mother frantically asking if you were okay. You took it from him muttering a thanks before answering her,
“Mum I’m fine, I think I was just knocked over by the green giant. I gotta go.”
“Wait, what?” and with that you flipped your phone shut.
“The green giant, huh? I guess I deserve that one for walking into you, although you could always call me Sam. I really am sorry.” He continued picking up your various items that were now strewn across the floor, placing them in the slightly dented boxes.
“I’m (Y/N) and it’s fine, really. You must have had your head in the clouds.” You smiled wryly, his hazel eyes narrowing.
“Was that another height joke?”
“What?” You placed a hand on your chest in a hurt manner, “I would never.” You pushed yourself up into a cross legged position on the floor, filling the other box with stray items. The two of you stood, one of your boxes now safely nestled in Sam’s arms,
“where are we headed?”
“oh you don’t have to do that, I can manage just fine. Besides you were already lost when you walked into me I don’t want to make matters worse.”
“It’s the least I can do, so where are we headed?” You sighed dramatically,
“well if you insist. We are headed for Wilbur hall, Cedro house…I think,” you added with slight uncertainty.
“Seriously? That’s where I was trying to get to,” he laughed a little, “I’m hoping you know the way because I sure don’t.”
“Yep, just follow me Sammy,” he groaned at that.
“Not you too.” He continued when you looked at him, confusion clear on your features, “that’s what my brother always calls me, my dad too.”
You nodded your head in understanding, “are they living far off from here? Missing them already?”
“My brother, yes, my old man…not so much.”
“Ah.” You sensed his hesitation on the topic of his family.
“Yeah, ah.”
“You wanna talk about it?”
“Nope.” Fair enough. “What’s your major?” He continued.
“I’m taking psychology, you?”
“Law.” You winced slightly at his response,
“Wow okay, didn’t know I was talking to a nerd.”
“What? You can talk you’re doing a science.” You laughed at his defensive reaction.
“Chill out law boy, I was joking.” You stopped at the doors in front of you, “here we are, Cedro house.”
“Are you kidding me? I walked past this building twice.” You laughed again,
“I have a feeling this is the start of a beautiful friendship Sam,”
“You know what?” He turned to look at you, “me too.” And with that the two of you entered the building.

--------
You weren't much of a prankster, it had never been satisfying. Yet here you were looking for fake videos to have Dean, Sam, and Cas watch.
The thought to do this came to your mind after having been “Rick Rolled” yourself. The experience had been so funny to you that you wondered what Dean, Sam, and Cas' reactions would be if it happened to them.
You finally found the perfect video: a fake news report about vampires. It was like this video was made for them.
Sam just so happened to be alone in the library so you decided to show him the video first.
“Hey Sam.” You called and tried not to smile when he looked up at you. Smiling would ruin the whole plan. “I think we might have a case. It's weird.”
“Oh cool. What is it?” he asked, closing the book he had been reading.
“Check this out.” You handed him your phone with the video ready to play.
He clicked play and you kept your eyes glued to his face, watching every reaction to the video.
“What the? This is weird. How the-”
Then the music filled the room, the song “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley beginning to play.
“Oh haha very funny.” he laughed, giving the phone back to you.
“That's it?” You questioned.
“Y/N, I do a lot of the research on cases. You don't think that little prank hasn't popped up more than once?” he chuckled, “Points for trying though.”
“Well you're no fun.” You huffed, “I hope Dean and Cas have better reactions than you did.”
“Ha, tell me when you are about to get Cas. I know what Dean's reaction will be to that. I wanna see Cas.”
You nodded, leaving Sam going down the hall to Dean's room.
“Dean?” You knocked on his door.
“Come in.”
You entered his room, and getting straight to the point, you gave him your phone. “I think we might have a new case. Check this out.”
He pressed play on the video and it was hard to contain your laughter as the music video started to play.
“What the-” he questioned, “What am I looking at right now?”
You started laughing so hard then and it took a while to pull yourself together. Maybe you should start pranking more often, this was fun!
“No I'm serious, what the actual heck am I looking at right now?” The music was still playing and Dean was still staring at the screen.
“I just Rick Rolled you!” You laughed again.
“You what?”
“I Rick Rolled you.” You said again.
“I heard you the first time.” Dean pressed pause on the video and the song that was starting to grow on you stopped. “What?” he asked, confused.
“Are you asking what I did to you or are you just shocked? It's hard to tell with you.” You smirked.
“I'm asking why I am watching this horrible guy sing this horrible song and dance even worse.” He didn't even seem to be amused, which only made you laugh again.
“That's how it works, Dean.” You smiled at him, “Can I have my phone back, please?” You hold out your hand, waiting for him to place your phone in your hands.
“I'm not sure.” It was his turn to smirk. “That was an awful thing you did to me. I don't think you deserve your phone.”
“Shut up.” You shove him a little. “I need my phone if I'm going to do it to, Cas.”
“Cas? Ha. I wanna see that.” He gave you your phone back and stood up.
“Well okay then. You have two options though, either come with me while I show him the video and play along, or watch from afar. What will it be? Sam already said he wanted to come.”
“I guess I'm watching from the sidelines with Sammy.” he smiled, “I should not be as excited as I am right now. Man, this is gonna be good.”
“Alright, come on you big dork. Let's go get Sam.”
A few minutes later, you were approaching Cas who was sitting outside near the car. You had called for him just a few moments before, telling him it was urgent. You kinda felt sorry you had lied to him.
You told Sam and Dean to find somewhere where they could watch and then left the brothers to carry out your plan.
“Hey Cas!” You said as you approached him. “We have a case and need your help.”
“I'm happy to help, Y/N. What is it?” he smiled.
“Here,” you gave him the phone and clicked play for him.
Different expressions crossed his face as he watched the beginning of the video. You looked around, trying to spot the boys before the music video started playing. You spot them just as the music starts playing and you look back at Cas too see his face has gone from one of curiosity to one of pure confusion.
“I don't understand.” his brow furrowed as he kept watching the video. You could hear Sam and Dean laughing from where they were hiding, well not so much hiding anymore. Cas lifted his head and turned towards the sound of laughter and found them. This only seemed to make him more confused. “I don't understand.” he repeated.
You burst into a fit of laughter along with the boys and Cas just stands there, confused, and wondering what's so funny.
“Why do you find this amusing?” Cas asked as Sam and Dean came up to join you.
“Oh, because it is!” Dean answered and laughed.
Cas looked at Sam and Dean with a look of hurt, “You find it funny as well.”
“Obviously, Cas. She Rick Rolled you.” Sam smiled.
“I don't understand. Can someone please explain this to me?”
“Cas, it doesn't matter. It's just a joke.” You said.
“Oh.” he smiled and laughed a little, but you didn't think he found it funny.
But he did. He did.
And that is the how you unknowingly got Cas into Rick Rolling...

AN: Now, the song I listened to while writing this hopelessly long one was The Draw by Bastille. God I love them so much. Dan Smith’s voice is just so… unf. I can’t even come up with proper words to describe the noise produced by his god-like vocal chords. Anyways: Yes, I am working on part two of ‘Always With the Scissors’ for all of you who wanted it. The sequel is just taking longer to write than expected. But fear not! I should be free this whole week and should be able to churn it out for you guys - maybe even finish some of the other fics that I’ve started… who knows!
Disclaimer: I don’t own Supernatural, the characters, or the song used as inspiration. Although I’ll let you know when I do, alright? ;) I also don’t this gif either.
Pulling Me Back
The snide comments, bickering, blatant disagreements, and heated disputes had been building up for two weeks until it all blew up. One of them would say something under his or her breaths and the other would react negatively. These blips had only gotten worse as the Mark of Cain made itself home within Dean.
The two were usually able to keep their disputes to themselves and didn’t involve anyone else, but this time was different. This time there was yelling and screaming and name-calling and a rather large amount of other things as well.
“You son of a bitch!” She yelled, throwing her hands up in the air. Dean was on the other side of the motel room, standing behind the table defensively.
“What the Hell are you talking about?” He responded angrily.
“Did I really have to hear it from Sam,” she pointed to the younger Winchester standing between the two. “that you almost killed an innocent person during the stakeout today? I was there with you two! How in Hell’s name did I not hear about this?” She asked, rage boiling her blood through her veins.
“‘Cause it’s none of your damn business!” Dean replied, yelling so loud his low voice vibrated through the room. She visibly flinched at the tone of his voice, but she recovered quickly. Both brothers noticed, but Dean was beyond the point of apologizing now.
“None of my business? I’ll tell you what’s ‘none of my business’.” She said, throwing up air quotes around ‘none of my business’. Her voice was rising with each word. “Finding out that the person who’s usually level headed during important hunts turns into an trigger happy teenager with the inability to think before he shoots! First Kenosha, now here? Dean what the fuck is wrong-”
“No, you listen here. I do not, under any circumstances, have to listen to you!” Dean roared. He took a step closer to her. “You don’t know anything about this! All you do is keep your nose in those books of yours when you’re holed up in here and then act all superior when we actually do leave this fucking room! It’s unbelieveable how inexperienced you are out there!” He pointed out the windows to the pouring rain. They were lies, but he was too infuriated to care.
“Guys,” Sam tried to interrupt, but was ignored by the two as they fought on.
She took a step towards him to that they were close. The two were so close that their heated breaths met and mingled with each other. “Maybe I’m so ‘inexperienced’ because someone won’t let me out of this room with them unless it’s for research or food! I’ll have you know that I’ve hunted long before I met you, Dean Winchester!” She stuck her finger into Dean’s chest, looking up at his green eyes that swirled with fury. He glared back at her, her touch somehow violating him.
“It doesn’t seem like it to me! It literally blows my mind how you’re able to fuck up everything - even the simple shit! You can’t do anything right.” He returned.
She was seething now, snarling at the older brother. “You take that back.” She said in a low voice that dripped with deadly venom.
“Please, guys.” Sam tried again, but there was no acknowledgement from the two.
“It’s not like you could do anything to make me.” He commented in the same tone that she had used.
Then she did the unthinkable. She raised her hand and slapped Dean across the face - hard. So hard that there was a dark pink mark on the right side of his face.
When he faced her again, Dean saw a hint of regret in her glassy eyes. But it vanished almost as soon as he noticed it. She was breathing heavily now and he realized the impact of what he had said to her.
He reached out to her and grabbed her arm, trying to apologize. “Look, I-”
“Let go of me, you fucking bastard.” She ripped her arm away from him. “You can go right back to Hell.” She whispered as she backed away from him. She rushed out the motel room and into the rain pouring outside.
Dean stood there at a complete loss for words. He just stared at the open doorway, as if she was going to come back because she forgot her phone or some other awkward thing like that. But she never did. Five minutes passed - maybe ten - and Dean’s feet were still glued to the cheap carpeting of the motel room. Sammy must have been taken aback as well, since he didn’t do anything but look out the door and into the rainy day either.
Then time caught up with Dean. He grabbed his jacket and keys, passing his brother as he quickly walked out the door. He had to find her. He couldn’t lose her. He didn’t know what he would do without her with him. It was like reliving one of his worst nightmares.
As he walked through the rain, he thought of all the possible place she would run off to. She couldn’t have gotten very far - that he was sure of. The library was closed and the only other place they had been to while in this god forsaken town was the diner a few blocks away from the motel. That’s where she’d be. She had to be there - he knew her too well.
He strode up to the diner and looked through the window, searching for her before walking in. He found her staring blankly at a glass of soda, her index finger circling around the edge distractedly. He almost didn’t even enter the place. He opened the door and walked inside the loud diner. He took a stool so that he was far enough away for her not to notice him and run away, but so that he could watch out for her. He needed to figure out what he was going to say to say to her when he did confront her.
A waitress came over to him and asked if he wanted anything. Her name-tag read Gloria and she had a fresh pot of coffee in her grip. “Coffee, please.” He answered. He didn’t know how long he’d be sitting on the leather stool, waiting for the perfect opportunity to talk with her. The waitress filled his present cup and smiled at him before walking away to the booths.
The waitress - Gloria - stopped at her table. Dean heard the elderly woman ask if his friend was alright. That she had been alone in this diner with only a glass of soda as company for a while. He watched as she looked up at Gloria. Regret and guilt shoved at him like schoolyard bullies. She looked like Hell. He could tell that she had been crying - with the way he treated her, he wouldn’t blame her.
“Oh, hon.” The grey-haired waitress said, sitting down on the bench across from the younger one. “What happened?” Dean noticed that she looked clearly surprised at the older woman’s actions.
“It doesn’t matter.” She tried to brush the lady off, but Gloria was having none of it.
“Is it a family member?” She didn’t do anything. Gloria didn’t give up. “Your car?” Nothing. The waitress was persistent. “A boy?” At this, she broke eye contact with good old Gloria and trained her light irises onto the glass in front of her.
“Did he hit you?” Gloria asked, obviously concerned for this stranger’s well-being.
“No,” the young woman chuckled. “But I did slap him across the face.” She looked at Gloria humorously. Then she started to cry. “It was so stupid.” Gloria looked at the younger one, concern still etched onto her wrinkled face. “We argued over something so childish.” She glanced up at the ceiling for a moment before locking stares with Gloria. “And we’ve been arguing about childish things for a while now.
“He hasn’t always been like this, though. We haven’t always been like this. It’s the stress of our jobs. I just get so scared that he’s going to leave one day and never be able to come back, you know?” Dean watched as she spoke through her tears. He watched as Gloria gazed at her in sympathy. There was something clawing inside him, trying to rip itself free of his chest. Dean knew this feeling all too well - Guilt. Is that how she felt about him? Dean conceded to the fact that he felt the same way about her. It would be one of his worst nightmares if she left and never came back one day. It would kill him. For good this time. “And just this one time, he said something that doesn’t usually affect me. But it did and I snapped. I didn’t mean to. I just snapped and slapped him.”
“Oh, hon.” Gloria repeated, reaching out for the girl’s hand. She let the wrinkled woman take it and squeeze it reassuringly.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he just left town without me.” Dean’s gaze snapped from the waitress and back to his hunting partner, surprise flashing through his mind. “I mean, I don’t do much good for him anymore.” He watched as she looked back down at her glass, dismayed at the thought.
“That can’t be true, hon.” Gloria placed her fingertips below his friend’s chin and lifted her face up. “That boy is probably going out of his mind looking for you right now.” The old woman couldn’t be more right. He knew what he had to say now.
“Gloria!” A shout came from behind him. “Get back to work!” The two ladies at the booth looked towards the kitchen behind Dean. He quickly turned his body in hopes that they wouldn’t notice him listening in.
“I guess that means I have to go, hon. Just wait for a little while. He’ll turn up, I promise you.” Gloria said before making her exit back to a group of bikers at a booth on the other side of the diner.
When Gloria was out of sight, Dean shot up and practically ran to the booth. He slid in haphazardly and looked at his friend - if she would let him refer to her as that anymore.
Before he could start his apology, she spoke up, “I saw you walk in, you know.” She looked at him, her face void of all the emotions he loved on her so much. “This place may be crowded right now, but I always recognize you.” She looked down at her drink again.
“Look, cherry-pie - ” He started.
“Don’t you ‘cherry-pie’ me, Dean Winchester.” She cut him off, looking sharply at his face. The primary emotion on her face now was anger, hot and searing into him. She threw a couple dollars down on the table and walked toward the door. He followed her into the rain.
“You will never know how sorry I really am.” Dean announced. “I didn’t even mean those things back in the room.”
“Then why did you say them?” She asked, turning around to face him. She seemed to be searching his eyes for something.
“I don’t know.” He answered.
“That’s bullshit. And you know it, Dean.” She commented, challenging him to tell her the truth. He just couldn’t.
“I don’t know.” He repeated, trying to telepathically tell her to drop the subject so he could continue on with his off-the-cuff apology.
“I’m serious, Dean. Why did you-”
“Because I didn’t want you to leave!” The words came out before he could stop restrain them. “If you realized that I’m not one hundred percent all there right now, you would go and never look back. You would leave and never come back and I can’t handle that.
“Why do I make you stay in the motel room? Because I’m afraid, okay? I’m afraid that you’re going to get hurt or die.”
“Dean-” She started.
“You are one of the most important things in my life! If something bad were to happen to you, I would do things that I wouldn’t be proud of, alright?” He knew he was rambling off, but he couldn’t stop. He had to get it out.
He felt her fingers cupping his cheeks. He leaned into her hands, looking her in the eyes. “I can’t lose you.” His voice was barely a whisper. “I just can’t.”
And then she surprised him for the third time that day. She rose up until the their faces were parallel. She then leaned in and kissed him. He was too shocked to do anything at first. Hell, his eyes were probably bugging out of his eye sockets. A million questions were buzzing through his head. Is this real? Is she mocking me? Is this really happening? Why would she do this? Has she realized how pathetic I am? All these questions stopped him from responding properly.
He saw her start to pull away, without a doubt translating his freeze as rejection. But before she could get even an inch away from him, Dean grabbed her face and crashed his lips onto hers. He felt her sigh as their lips moved together in harmony with one another. Her hands moved themselves to his neck, and then to his wet hair where she started to pull on gently. He moaned from the affect she had on him and lowered his own hands down from her face to her hips, pulling her closer to him. Their clothes stuck together in the pouring rain, but he didn’t care. He could only describe this moment as pure and unadulterated bliss. As finally earning the one thing that you’ve worked so hard towards, that you’ve been craving for for what seemed like a millennium. He would go as far to say that this kiss was definitely a work of God, if he believed in one.
He broke the kiss after what seemed like a lifetime, but kept her close. So close that their panting breaths met with each other.
“I know you were listening back there.” She mumbled against his lips, referring to the diner, before pulling away. She opened her eyes and gazed at him. He could see her face as a whole now.
“I’m sorry about that, too.” He apologized, looking at her flushed face.
“I thought it was sweet that you came looking for me.” She smiled a rare smile up at him and it almost took his breath away.
“Well, don’t tell anyone. It might ruin my reputation.” He joked, smiling back down at her.
“C’mon.” She laughed. God almighty, he loved her laugh. “This case isn’t going to solve itself.” She grabbed his hand and lead him back to the motel room. Dean - on impulse - rearranged their fingers until they were entwined with each other.
Gloria looked through the window and watched the young couple go off. She smiled knowingly at the two as they smiled at each other and laughed down the sidewalk. She knew he’d find her, that the boy would make amends with the young lady. People just make rash decisions when they’re in love, that’s all.

Summary: Sam and Dean end up in the AU of The French Mistake and Dean finds out that in that universe, his girlfriend is dating Jake Abel.
Word count: 1,303
It’s been a while since you spent a day doing nothing and since you guys didn’t have a case to work on you decided to take a break. You and Dean were cuddling on the couch watching a movie and Sam was reading a book at the table. You told him it was OK for him to come and watch the movie with you and Dean but he didn’t like to interfere in your couple stuff. It’s not that he was uncomfortable since you and Dean were in a seven month relationship. Sam got used with it. He just liked to give the two of you space. So there you were, sitting on Dean’s warm chest watching the movie Dean picked and then all of a sudden Balthazar appears and starts talking stuff about The Godfather and doing a spell and drawing a symbol on the glass of the window. The next thing you know Sam and Dean run through the glass and disappear.
“Where the hell did you send them?” you scream at Balthazar.
“Calm down [Y/N], all this it’s to help Cass. I don’t have time to explain more, I’ve got to go. Don’t worry your boyfriend is going to be just fine.”
“Balthazar…come back you son of a bitch!” But he was gone and you knew it. Just as much as you knew that there was nothing you could do but wait. So, you sat down on the couch and continued watching the movie.
Meanwhile, Sam and Dean were unbelievably confused to find themselves in a universe where their life was a TV show and their names were Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. They had no idea how to take it. After a while they ended up at Jared’s place and found out he was married to AU Ruby, RUBY! After a very awkward while, Sam and Dean were finally alone and got to talk. Both of them knew they had to get out of there but they didn’t know what the purpose of them being there is. So Sam started gathering the things they needed to re-do Balthazar’s spell while Dean was resting. And then it hit them. With all the mess and confusion they forgot about you.
“Holly crap, Sammy, what about [Y/N]? Is some fucked-up version of her in this-whatever this is?”
“Hold on, let me see”
“How could I forget about her like that? God, what if she’s hurt, what if Balthazar got her in trouble or what if…”
“Dean, shut up, she’s [Y/N], I’m sure she’s fine. Ok, here we go...” Sam sat there reading for a short while and said “Oh, you are so not going to like this” and started laughing.
“Dude, please don’t tell me she’s a porn star”
“What? No…Her name is Amelia Callaway, she’s 23, she’s best known for the role of [Y/N] in the show Supernatural, she is close friends with fake us and she is best-friends’ with Genevieve Padalecki…”
“Wait, fake Ruby?”
“Yeah, and I didn’t even get to the best part yet. Take this: she fell in love with Jake Abel while shooting his first episode on the show and the two of them are in a stable three years relationship ever since.”
Dean’s face showed a very serious expression and his fists clenched. “Who the hell is this Abel guy? Wait, if he was on the show that means he was in our real life too?”
“Oh you’ll like this even more. Jake Abel plays the role of Adam, Sam and Dean’s little brother”
“WHAT?”
“Yeah, I know”
“NO. Come on, get your coat.” Dean got up and rushed to the door, calling the guy that drove them to his place.
“Dean, what exactly are you doing now?”
“I don’t believe a word of this, I’ve had enough of this crap universe and I am going to see my girlfriend, how about you?”
“Dean…” But the car arrived and the two of them got in. Sam knew there was nothing he can say to stop Dean from doing what he wants so he just went along with it. The driver drove them to Amy’s place and left them in the back, for discretion reasons. Her and Jake’s house was beautiful, not too big and not too small, pretty private so no crazy fans or paparazzi could find them. The kitchen was in the back and they had a pretty big window through which you could see inside. The fate made it for Amy to be in the kitchen, right at the window, cooking in her pyjamas. Dean smiled because [Y/N] often does that too.
“See, she is perfectly alone, the whole fake Adam thing is probably just rumours.”
Right after he said that he saw Amy talking and then laughing really hard. He could hear her laugh in his head. Not long after, they could see Jake near
Amy, shirtless and wrapping his hands around her from the back and laying his head on her shoulder, kissing her neck. Amy stopped cooking and turned around to peck her boyfriend on the lips. After a few pecks they started kissing the serious way and Jake picked her up and so they went away from the window, probably into the bedroom. Sam looked at his brother and he could see the pain in his eyes, like something broke inside him.
“Look Dean, that’s not [Y/N] there. The real [Y/N] is home, probably sick worried for us. I know you love her, but the girl you saw with fake Adam is not her, ok?” Dean just stood there in silence for a long while just like he didn’t hear a word of what his brother said and then he finally broke:
“I don’t care what we have to do, we are going back. Come on, we got work to do.”
After a very crazy day of fighting angels and figuring out that this entire charade was a plan to protect them from Raphael Sam and Dean finally got back to their normal universe. In this universe they were only gone for about an hour. So when they came back you weren’t that freaked out. But they looked horrible. So you kind of freaked and started to talk really quickly and put a lot of questions.
“Good God guys, what the hell happened to you? Are you ok? Did the plan work? And by the way, what was the plan?”
Dean just ran to you and held you tight in his arms and didn’t let go for at least five minutes. Sam just awkwardly walked away at some point.
“[Y/N], I love you, I love you so very much. And I need you, I need you to be with me and cuddle on the couch and watch crappy movies and kill monsters and take long showers with me and tangle your feet with mine at night and put your fingers through my hair when you’re asleep without even knowing you do so and snore with your cute little snore. And I need to be the one who wraps my hands around you while you cook in your pyjamas and kiss you until we’re both out of air and stay up late listening to classic rock and talk about every little subject there is. Because I never loved someone the way I love you and that scares me. But the thought of someone else doing all these things with you scares me even more.”
As a response you kissed Dean harder and longer than you ever had, not believing what just happened. After you finally stopped to breathe you asked him:
“Do I really snore?”
“Yeah” Dean laughed.
“Sorry”
“Don’t be”
“So are you going to tell me what the hell happened?”

---------------
“Okay. The car's packed up. Ready to go?” Dean asked, looking right at me.
“Oh, yeah because I'm always the last one ready.” I crossed my arms as Cas and Sam went out the door to the car.
“Name one time.” Dean smirked.
“Well there was that one time...” Crap. I couldn't think of anything!
“Uh huh. That's what I thought.” he laughed. “Come on let's go.”
I sighed. I couldn't win against him.
When we got outside, Dean got in the driver's seat and I went to get in the back where I usually sat. I was greeted with a bunch of boxes in the way. “Hey! What's all this stuff doing here. Where am I supposed to sit?”
Without turning around, Dean said, “Cas scoot over so Y/N can get in.” I went around to the other side of the car to get in next to Cas.
“There's no room.” Cas stated.
I sighed again and looked up at the sky.
“Oh stop being so dramatic it's not the end of the world.” Sam told me.
“How am I supposed to go with you guys if there is nowhere to sit in this stupid car!”
“I could strap you to the roof.” Dean suggested.
“Not funny.”
“Well unless Cas lets you sit on top of him, you're out of luck. Hurry up. I'd like to get there before next Tuesday.”
“Look who's being dramatic now?” I pointed out.
Dean started to respond but Sam looked at him and he shut up. Sometimes I was so thankful for Sam.
I looked at Cas. He hadn't said anything and I wanted to know what he thought. He looked at me and shrugged.
I opened his door and asked, “Is it okay? I mean, it won't be... weird?”
“No. It's okay.” he said.
I got in slowly and sat on his lap. Okay this would be an awkward ride. Not that I didn't like Cas, he was a good friend. But I don't think I've ever been this close to him.
As soon as I was in and the door was closed Dean started the car and took off down the road. Since the car didn't have seat belts I almost fell off Cas's lap. He caught me and wrapped his arms around me.
I saw Dean look at us in the rear-view mirror. “Sorry.” His tone of voice spoke for itself. He wasn't sorry.
“Why is the car packed up this much anyway?” I asked. “I didn't know we had this much junk.”
“It's not junk.” Sam said. “We need all of this stuff for the case. We talked about it.”
“You didn't tell me.” I rolled my eyes.
Dean slammed on the breaks at a stop sign and I almost flew forward again. Cas tightened his grip around me.
“My bad.” Dean apologized. If that could be called an apology.
“Cut it out, Dean.” I said through gritted teeth.
“Yeah, Dean what the-” Sam started.
“Shh! Not now, Sammy.” Dean interrupted his brother, giving him a look.
I couldn't see Sam's face, but he didn't say anything else.
I saw a light up ahead turn red and I expected Dean to slam on the breaks again. I braced for impact and held tightly on to Cas. He did the same.
Dean came to a slow stop at the light.
“Dean!” I practically yelled at him.
“What?” he asked innocently.
“You know what you're doing. Stop. It. Now.” I probably didn't sound very scary to him. But I tried anyway.
“Why? Looks like you guys are pretty comfy back there.” He was enjoying this I just knew it.
I looked at Cas for the first time since we started driving. He was already looking at me. “What?” I asked, curiously.
“What?” he squinted at me.
“You okay?”
“Yes.”
Dean slammed on the breaks unexpectedly and Cas and I were not prepared this time. I fell off of Cas and into the small space between Sam's seat and Cas's legs.
“Dean.” I ground out. “If you weren't driving this car, I'd hit you so hard.”
“Y/N, are you okay?” Cas gave me his hand, which I gladly accepted.
“Luckily yes.” I replied. I stood up as high as I could in the car and sat back down on Cas.
He wrapped his arms around me tightly, so I wouldn't fall off again.
I would get Dean for this later...
Dean drove into the middle of a dirt field and I was relieved. We had arrived at our destination. It had seemed like an eternity. I opened the door and got off of Cas. I was sure his legs were probably asleep after how long I was on top of him.
The angel got out of the car and Dean laughed at him when Cas struggled to stand up for a few seconds.
“Okay. So now what?” I asked after everything settled down. I couldn't look Cas in the eye. I still felt weird.
“We go home.” Sam smirked.
“What?” Cas asked, squinting his eyes in confusion. “What about the case?”
“There isn't one.” Dean said, smirking as well.
“What do you mean?” I asked, annoyed.
“I mean there is no case. Made it up.” Dean answered.
“So what was all that crap in the car then!?” I was so ticked right now.
“See for yourself.” Sam gestured to the car.
Castiel and I both went to the car and opened a bunch of the many boxes stuffed into the car.
I was not pleased with what I found. There were random pointless things in each box. Nothing that could even be related to a case. Books, blankets, clothes, stuffed animals, and other random things.
Sam whispered something to Dean while looking at me. Dean looked at me, too.
I was so furious I was going to kill Dean. Sam, too. I clenched my fists tightly. I wasn't really known to be the one who got angry at things, but this just ticked me off beyond belief.
I was about to slap Dean across the face but he ran to the car and got in the driver's seat. Sam got in and joined him before I could get to him.
I stomped my foot. “Guys!!” I screamed at them.
Cas was still looking through the boxes but he looked up when he heard me yell. “Are you okay Y/N?”
“Do I look okay, Cas? Do you realize they brought us out here for nothing?! And the whole ride was miserable. I can't believe those two! I'll kill you both when we get back home!”
Cas just stared at me, “I didn't think it was miserable.”
I rolled my eyes. “Okay whatever. Let's just go. The faster we get back, the faster I can kick their butts.”
Cas got back in the car and I sat on his lap again. It wasn't as awkward this time, but it was still pretty awkward.
Dean didn't drive as crazy as he did on the way, but every once in a while he'd slam on the brakes unannounced and I would go forward. If it wasn't for Cas, I'd have a billion bruises from hitting Sam's seat so hard.
It started getting dark outside and before I knew it, I was snuggled up against Cas and resting my eyes.
“Y/N?” Cas whispered.
“Yes?” I whispered back.
“Sleep well.”
I fell asleep smiling, thinking of ways I could kill Sam and Dean.

Fic or link to fic:
They won’t admit it, but Sam and Dean are baffled, completely lost, at the end of their ropes. You can see it in the way Sam furrows his brow, and in the “son of a bitch” forming on Dean’s lips. Typical Winchester mechanisms for dealing with the unexpected, as you’ve surmised from the week you’ve spent tagging along on their hunt for a rampant deity from the East.
You can’t blame them for acting as they are, though. Any sensible human being would do a double take if they saw someone of your stature heave two much larger men over the edge of a bridge at once.
“Y/N, those two were twice your size. Each,” says Sam. He stands near the door, arms folded as if he’s a suitable barrier to keep something out, but you’re well aware it’s a matter of keeping you in after your astonishing performance on Oakley Bridge.
“Hell, they were bigger than Sammy! Humans just can’t do that,” Dean adds, leaning against the edge of the dresser, effectively cutting you off from your belongings in the event you try to make a run for it anyway. A move like that would be stupid, though, so you remained cross-legged on the bed with a small, cocksure smile.
Pulling a face as if to contemplate your actions, you grin again and look both of them in the eye with ease. “Would you believe me if I told you I’m secretly a superhero?” you quipped. “Not, uh, Batman, but maybe something like the Hulk? Yeah, something like that?”
The flat stare proves Dean is unamused, and even without looking, you know Sam has to be mirroring his brother’s terse expression. One more joke like that might land you a blade at your throat, so maybe it’s time to reconsider how you explain your situation. Being threatened at knifepoint isn’t a priority of yours.
“All right, I get what you’re asking. You want to know what I am if I’m not human, yeah?” Two nods, deliberate but not necessarily eager meet your question. That’s a good sign for your well-being; they won’t attempt to kill you until you give them a straight answer at the very least.
What a shame you don’t want to give them that.
Springing off the bed and waltzing to the bathroom counter, you fill a flimsy motel coffee cup with water from the sink and lean against it. “Let’s see if you can figure it out,” you challenge them. Their expressions shift from frustration to consternation, a look you find particularly endearing on the both of them as you peer over the rim of the cup. Your father hadn’t been too far off in characterizing them as, well, characters, and you’ve taken great delight in their expressiveness all week long.
“We’re not playing games!” Dean says, hovering by the dresser still as if he no longer can gauge how much of a threat you might be.
“They’re just mind games,” you reply, “and nobody gets hurt. Almost like Twenty Questions, and the first question is ‘Do you remember why I hired you last week?’”
“Son of a bitch, we’re not doing this, Y/N,” growls Dean, but Sam is more cooperative. Yes, Sammy knows how to play the game, how to get what he wants from you, and he answers your question completely, recapping your request for the boys to help you track down a Hindu demigod down to the exact time you called and the first thing you said: “I’ve got a tall order for some hunters.”
Clapping your hands, you make a mock bow in his direction. “And Player One has the right answer! Congrats, Sammy. You get the idea.”
“I am not going to be the ‘Player Two’ in this,” Dean mutters, so you shoot him another wide smile just to rile him up, get him distracted by the game so he doesn’t put a bullet in you. You’re buying time, buying just enough to make them warm up to you in a way that leaves you alive.
“That’s right!” you agree. “You’re actually going to be the uncooperative dick if this keeps up, which doesn’t surprise me at all.” The remark earns you a phenomenally disgusted look, but it seems like Dean’s not taking his chances just yet if there’s a possibility you could hurl him through the wall.
“Question two, kiddos. Once upon a time, you met the elephant in the room, that guy named Ganesh whose son we just tracked down. And Kali and Odin, if I heard right. Remember how that mess went down?”
“Yeah, that ended well,” Dean grumbles. “Hotel from hell.”
“Hotel from hell,” you echo. “That’s appropriate, given the surprise guest. Heard he’s back in the pit again, yeah?” You’d continue, but Sam makes up his mind and the shotgun by the door is suddenly loaded and very much a threat to your health.
“Enough, Y/N. What are you?” he demands. There’s no blustering around, no excessive macho man displays. Now he means business, and it looks like Dean’s getting to that point, too.
As such, you smile and pull a candy bar seemingly out of nowhere, a neat sleight of hand that your father taught you. “Have a Snickers, boys. You’re not you when you’re hungry,” you say with a wink, and then you pull two more from beneath the counter as if you’re some deity of sugary junk. Offering two to the boys, you tear open the wrapper of the third with your teeth, take a bite, and add through a full mouth, “Sorry. Sweet tooth runs in the family.”
That’s when the light bulbs go on. Sam and Dean share a look that screams a thousand questions all at once, but Sam lowers the shotgun marginally, marginally enough that you can suddenly feel the weight you didn’t know was on your chest easing up a bit.
“Didn’t know Gabe had a kid,” Dean says, slowly making his way back to his bed to sit the edge and eye you warily. His gun’s still close at hand, but not drawn. That’s safe.
“Nephilim, Dean,” Sam corrects him. “Hell of a kid. Half angel, half human.”
“Nearly extinct,” you chime in past the chocolate in your mouth. The Winchesters roll their eyes in unison (your dad was pretty sure they practiced the gesture in their spare time), and that’s when you decide it’s best to drop the big one. Inhaling the rest of your candy bar and tossing the extras to Sam and Dean, you hop onto the counter and curl your fingers around the edge, perching there like a curious bird on a wire, waiting for their reactions to betray just enough curiosity.
Only when they tip their heads and move their hands towards their weapons do you say, “By the way, Dad’s looking for you two.”

Get Jazzy on It
She never thought this would happen. Not in a million years.
They were all in the library, researching for another case, when she got up and strode to the kitchen fridge for a beer. She opened the refrigerator's door and-
They were out of beer.
How? She asked herself as she stalked back to the library.
“Where’s the beer?” Dean asked, looking up to her empty hands.
“We’re out.” She plopped down in her wooden seat. The boys looked at her, surprised.
“Guess I better get some then.” Sam said, rising out of his own chair and grabbing his jacket.
“Why not Dean?” She pointed to the older brother. “Or me?” She gestured to herself, perplexed. Sam was always going on errands, whether it was for food or beer or even toilet paper. She felt bad about him being the one to go out for stuff.
“We all know that Dean would get distracted and spend all the beer money on pie,” Sam answered, smiling at the high probability that the other brother would actually do just that. It had earned him a chuckle from her and a “Hey!” from the brother himself. “And we all remember what happened last time you went for a supplies run, right?” He continued, smirking down at her.
Oh, yeah. A few days ago, she and Dean had gone to the store together to get beer and other necessities. The ride there was fine and the journey inside the store was alright. It was the trip back to the bunker that had been mention worthy.
“Don’t you ever get sick of listening to the same songs all the time?” She had asked him from the passenger seat.
“You can never get sick of listening to real music.” He had stated with an air of superiority about him.
“Oh really?” She challenged. She quickly switched the music from the overly played cassette tape to a pop station on the radio.
“Yeah!” She yelled out loud. She started dancing in her seat to the tune. Dean looked at her horrified as she belted out the words. “All I really need to understand is. When. You. Talk dirty to me.” She danced along to the saxophone playing.
“This is not going to happen.” He groaned, reaching for the knob. Every time Dean tried to change the song, she would swat his hand away.
“I know what the girl them want, London to Taiwan.” Dean was still trying, but she was determined get through the whole song. “I’ve got lipstick stains on my passport. I think I need a new one.” She kept singing to the song - obnoxiously, of course.
She defended the radio from the older Winchester and sang that song - along with all the other ones that came on next - all the way home to the Bunker.
Dean didn’t talk to her for a whole day after that incident. He didn’t let her come within a ten feet radius of his car. But it was worth it.
She smiled at the fond memory, while Dean grimaced at her.
“And on that note, I’m going to the store. Call if you need anything else.” He announced, yelling out the last bit as he walked away from the two.
It was just the two of them now. He was still silently grimacing towards her. She smiled at him, trying to alleviate the tension between the two. It didn’t work. At all. The silence was too much for her. She got up and walked to her room. Once in there, she grabbed her book and walked back to the library.
She reached the entrance when she heard it. Dean was humming something under his breath. She took one stealthy step toward him to distinguish which one of his many rock ballads he was humming to. It wasn’t one that she recognized, so she moved closer to him.
Was he humming what she thought he was humming? He started to sing under his breath. “Been around the world, don’t speak the language.” He was!
“But your booty don’t need explaining.” She took a step closer.
“All I really need to understand is,” And another.
“When” And another step.
“You” She was close to him now. So close that she was only a step behind the dark blonde haired man.
She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him, joining the older Winchester by speaking lowly in his ear. “Talk dirty to me.”
Dean stiffened under her touch, but she persisted on. “I knew you didn’t hate my music.”
She felt him gulp. Her mouth was still close to his ear. His ear was turning shades of red. “You’re so cute when you blush, Dean. Especially after you’ve been caught in the act.” She smirked, leaning her face forward more and giving him a peck on the cheek before gliding back to her hard chair. Now his face was really red and she couldn’t help but laugh before she opened her book and started reading about ancient Norse lore.
Sam came back later to find both reading books - hopefully for research purposes. He took three beers out and handed the two theirs.
“You sure do know what a girl needs, Sam.” She commented as she opened the bottle. Sam looked at her, who was looking at Dean with a smirk on her face. He looked at his older brother slowly getting redder and redder in the face.
He figured it was bed not to ask what had happened between the two while he was gone. It was better for his sanity that way.
