Dean all but said I love you to Jack
god just THINKING about lisa braeden makes me so fucking angry. remember when lisa yelled at dean for thinking that he could come back after they barely knew each other and waltz in like she owed him something? remember how the ~development~ in the episode was that getting completely shoved under the rug because dean Saved Her Son so now hes forgiven!!! remember how despite STILL not knowing anything abt each other it was presented as perfectly normal for dean to set her up as the ideal partner and this was never questioned or analyzed?
remember how lisa tried to move on in a healthy way and acknowledged that her time with dean was the best of her life? remember how KNOWING THAT, knowing she was fully capable of moving on and that she treasured her memories, dean STILL wiped them without her consent, and this was presented as some BIG SACRIFICE for him instead of the fucking selfish refusal to set healthy boundaries for himself and eroding of agency that it was, the same way he did over and over ignoring her wishes for how they should pursue their relationship?? im so fucking mad about lisa braeden. i hate supernatural
me watching meg beat the shit out of, tie up, and then climb on top of sam when i was 15: i do not understand the reason i am enjoying this scene so much or why it feels so weird, but i have to assume there is a logical reason
me, age 22, as a lesbian: OH. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
“i love that dean was bisexual but he just happened to be bi, his story wasnt about being bi” i dont lmao. the fact that dean winchester didn’t have a bi pin on his jacket from episode 1 is a gross mischaracterization. dean winchester would never shut the fuck up about being bi if the cw had been competent in literally any way. this man was MIRED in queer culture from the getgo. he would say ‘queerly beloved’ at a wedding and think he’s hilarious. he would’ve had stone butch blues in the backseat of his car as light reading. he would’ve talked about the lesbian trucker friends you Know he had. im furious dean winchesters story was so not about him being bi that it’s not even explicit in the english language
supernatural peaked at the sequence where bela convinced a guard to not come into the room that she and dean had hid in earlier (pretending to be husband & wife) while dean was out doing Supernatural Things by convincing him that they were having sex, then him running into dean as he walked out who said he’d gone out for a few minutes, and watching the guard construct an entire soap opera in his head as dean thanked him for ‘looking after his wife’ before saying ‘oh, she’s being looked after, alright’ and walking away with an enormous smile
man i forgot how fucking dumb the victims are in the first seasons of spn. “this random hitchhiker lady with no car in sight in darkness who is dressed fully in white on a stretch of road that has recently seen a murder, who has not given me a name or any information except saying ‘take me home’ and coming onto me, led me to a decrepit old house and then disappeared like a ghost when i looked back at her. better get out of the car in this isolated location that no one knows im at and go looking for her!” what the fuck is wrong with you. no wonder this show leads up to the apocalypse good christ
the cw, setting up dean’s relationships with men to directly reflect and parallel his flirtations with women in the very same episode, making all of his deeper relationships either with attractive men or with gay people, accidentally writing a love story that had so much merit that even an absolutely nightmarish ending made people go nuts on rewatching the whole thing: this is a straight man
