i’d been meaning to do a space dean comic since the season ended but never got around to it!! but here it is, my overdue, alternate space!ending to season 10. remember how i said wheatley’s speech at the end of portal 2 would have been perfect!?!? well i heartily stand by that

the only difference is that cas had no idea dean was being propelled into space so he just goes out there and continuously reminds dean where they are and how baffled he is by this conclusion

Dean saying that, saying "Sammy, close your eyes." It's fucking me up badly. All I can see when he says this is little Sam running to him in the middle of the night all shaken up over a bad dream or a weird noise and Dean just holding him, telling him that everything was okay, that we would protect him, to just close his eyes and go back to sleep. It's Dean trying to be the big brother he always was and stop Sam from being scared.

One of my biggest issues with next season of spn is this Darkness thing. The show has shown previously that the Judeo-Christian model of the universe is not the only one, and in fact, even ‘dead’ religions have a play. Hammer of the Gods especially brought this up. So, looking into the mythos of what there was before the light and before the world, the whole ‘darkness is all evil’ thing is kinda meh. Sure, in the traditions they’re using it makes sorta sense. But what about something else where the beginnings of the universe were peaceful. Say, Greek mythology. In the beginning, there was chaos. But that wasn’t chaotic, like this darkness, it was really just nothingness and energy that gave birth to the world (and a few others). Supernatural brushes aside other origin stories of the universe. Are they saying that the Judeo-Christian theory is the right one or something? Because it sure seems that way.
