It's been 9 months since Oceania was released into the world. During that time, we've had a lot of interest in the artwork we created for our 'Imagine Oceania'/Ozphoria's 10th birthday. Many people asked us why we hadn't created a collected artwork featuring all of the individual themed pieces and to be honest we hadn't had the time until now. Sugar Army to Support Smashing Pumpkins in Perth
Announced by Secret Sounds, the support slot for The Smashing Pumpkins Australian 'Oceania' Tour opener in Perth will be local band, Sugar Army. The band take the stage before the main event at Challenge Stadium on Thursday, July 26. Wolfmother will be supporting the Pumpkins in both Melbourne and Sydney. “Oceania” has all the lyrical and musical complexity of “Mellon Collie”. It’s an album of amazing depth and quality. But while the latter was largely constructed from pain, anger, and angst, the former is a wrecking ball of joy and hopefulness. Indeed, “Oceania” can be seen as the answer to “Mellon Collie”, it’s opposite and negative (in a very, very good way).
