It's been 50 years, I think we deserves it.
I think we are at this point in our society where we can finally say what everyone knew but didn't dare to say.
This would also confirm the relationship between Spock and Kirk over the years.

I will be grateful of every seconds Kirk and Spock are together
I honestly think the worst thing Strange New Worlds could have done was forcing a female interest to Spock AND Kirk instead of listening to 60 years of devoted fans and implicit content.
We are in 2023!
Star Trek is about pushing boundaries and elevating society to a place where romance can feel natural, even between two men.
Give the fans what they want !
