So Woo and Darcy weren't snap victims?

Not sure if it was outright said, but that's the implication?

She's a doctor now. That takes a few years. And by the time he meets Monica, Woo looked like he's still settled into things and isn't giving off the shell-shocked "I just returned after five years" vibe Monica does.

Might explain why they seem to bond in the episode a bit. They've been through the trauma of surviving, which is arguably worse than being snapped.

Why I think E is Elise Houser - A Dark Deception Theory

⚠️Content Warning ⚠️ This post contains spoilers for Dark Deception and its fourth chapter along with mentions of violence, death, and abuse. Viewer discretion is advised. It is also poorly worded. I apologize for that as well.

So, I am a big fan of the game dark deception and with the 4th chapter out, we've gotten a lot of lore about our characters, ones new and old (and possibly dead.) We've also gotten a lot about our mysterious E and their letters. And from these letters, I noticed something interesting things that lead me to believe that instead of being Detective Evans as many and even I assumed them to be, this mysterious character is actually Doug's deceased wife, Elise Houser.

Torment Therapy Letter - In the letter left in the sixth realm of the game, the letter details the Reaper Nurses as Women who have been abused by men and died with such pain and hate in their heart that they hate all men but leave women alone and are actually kind to them. There are a couple of specific lines in that letter that catch my eye. It reads: 'Like all the other monsters that I've encountered, their souls were bound in servitude to the demon whose footsteps I have been following. Even as I stood before them, the nurses didn't bother to attack me. 'As I stood there in silence, one of them skated over and offered me a seat in the lounge. She even brought me a pot of tea after seating me. I refused to drink it, expecting that it was poisoned or drugged. They seem amused by my paranoia and laughed. After whispering to one another for a few seconds, one of them turned to me and asked me if I'd like to join the sisterhood of healing & mercy. They told me that my soul checked all of their boxes and that a "little initiation ritual" was all that was required to join. I wasn't sure what they meant, but it didn’t sound good.  I gripped my relic and prepared to jump as I declined their offer. They stood silently for a moment and then laughed more. They seemed unaffected by my response and told me to go ahead and make myself at home. I was allowed to explore the upper levels as much as I wanted, but not permitted to go near the restricted areas. As long as I did what they told me and didn't threaten their mission, I would remain safe.'

When Doug is confronted by the Reaper Nurses, they constantly make attempts to kill him. When E is confronted by the Reaper Nurses, they are welcomed into their hospital and even welcomed to their sisterhood. They say E's soul ticks all the boxes of what they are looking for - possibly meaning they themselves are a battered woman since the Reaper Nurses are born from pain of battered women's hate and pain.

2. Mascot Mayhem Letter - E's encounter with Malak.

In the 7th letter, E recounts how they encountered Malak while escaping the Joy Joy Gang. Once again. Certain lines spoke out to me that led me to believe it could be Elise:

Ah, there you are" it said. "Aww. So much pain. So much despair. Perhaps I can help you, mortal. I have an offer that might interest you. All you have to do is take your little toy and seek me out when you are ready".

 A crushing pain immediately filled my head and twisted words began repeating in my mind "Don't you have someone to kill?", they whispered over and over again. 

Could it be potentially be referring to the life Elise once had and her somehow forgotten vendetta against Doug for murdering her? Could her soul be searching for the man who took her life away too soon? Perhaps. Who would have more reason to kill Doug other than everything else that has tried to kill him.

3. Bearly Buried Letter - Lost Memories

One last time, some interesting lines that I believe is strong evidence that E is Elise (either that or Evans is just a really good dude with a lot of the same memories and possible vendetta against Doug.)

Whatever the demon did to my head has awoken some memories. I'm having glimpses of what I think is my past. Images with no immediate meaning flash in my head. A handsome man, some lively friends, walking along a beach, a child, and a bridge. I can't put them together yet, but I feel it's just a matter of time if I can stay alive.

There is no mention of a woman in the last bit of the sentence. Only the memory of a girl and a bridge. Again, this could potentially be Evans and the memory of the girl and the bridge could be him seeing Tammy surface after the accident. Not much detail. But it could also be Elise remembering her past life and the last moments of that life.

Again, all of this could still be Evans or an entirely different character, but a lot of this recent evidence is pointing to it possibly being Elise.

But this is simply a theory. If you disagree, that's fine. Just don't get too upset over it. It's just a theory. It's not fact, it's just a theory.
