You could go extra angsty and make it that someone tried to get both kids out of the cult but only managed to get David out of there And Daniel grows up hearing about a brother who deserted the cult while David has no idea Daniel exists

I did consider a version of the AU where both kids were actually born in the cult but David was the less favored twin and just abandoned by their parents, but I kinda like this version of the AU more. Less angst for David and more of Daniel feeling like a second fiddle to his brother.

Forget all these things. Lieutenant Strongam is obviously the character that needs to be the face of Transformers. 

She is the definition of Perf. She is perfect for Rescue Bots, she’s perfect for the comics. She’s perfect to retroactively be put into G1 and the movie. 

Maybe Combiners. MAYbe. I need to see the script first.I need to see that Combiners has a script first.

Now I'm imagining everyone on a mission in Sydney and Junkrat putting the bucket on his head and confusing everyone and the only explanation he gives is "maggies are real bad out here I ain't taking no chances" and while everyone is looking at him like 'what the fuck?' birds start swooping at them and everything descends into pandemonium for some reason a snake comes flying out of nowhere and hits someone in the face (I'm not going to get over that bird throwing a snake at that family post)
