Another Mastodon so soon? Yes. I’m loving the change in sound and welcome it.
Holy shit, a new Mastodon song. It has a feel of Crack the Skye and just sounds so smooth. It has so much emotion and raw energy. I absolutely can’t wait for the album to come out (March 31st).
God I need to actually finish this game. The best way to describe this song is imagine a baby exploring, excited and everything is new and magical, then the baby gets caught and he runs and it gets intense. That is this song. I was not expecting the drum n' bass at all. Darren Korb really knows what he is doing, this and Bastion's OST are just perfect. Ashley Barrett's voice is not what I would expect in this song but it's perfect and I adore it. Seriously, nothing needs to be changed. This fits the game perfectly. This is literally the song version of the game. If you haven't already, pick up this game, it's made by the people who made Bastion. If you haven't played Bastion, what is wrong with you? Go pick that up!
Blind Guardian just released their first song in 4 years. I have been waiting for a sample as soon as they announced they would be releasing a new album back in 2011. I have loved all of their albums and this song still does not disappoint. The one thing that is always perfect in a Blind Guardian song is Hansi Kürsch's vocals. The chorus just has this feeling that I only get while listening to Blind Guardian, just awe-inspiring. They did change their sound a little (they sound a little more like Persuader) and it is working for them. After hearing this song I am more excited to hear the album than before.
