None of it felt real.
Dean waited for you outside the bus with a shit-eating grin, which almost made you puke because you thought it had all been a joke. But he must have seen it on your face because he instantly softened, and leaned in to whisper:
“You good?”
You looked up at him, through all your fear, and let everything both of you couldn’t say be seen.
“Yeah, you?”
“Fan-fuckin’-tastic myself.”
You chuckled and bit your lip. “Well, good.”
Dean rolled his eyes and let you lead the way onto the bus. And this time you knew he was definitely checking out your ass in the process, instead of the dozens of times before when you had only thought that was what he was doing. He made his appreciation known, if only to you, with a gentle caress against your thigh as you waited to pass Kevin. It felt like it took him forever to stuff his backpack above his seat. But maybe that was just because you were anxious to claim the last available side-by-side seats.
Or maybe it was because you could smell Dean’s deodorant and you were so close to him that if you didn’t get a hint of privacy soon, you were going to do something irredeemably stupid.
It was hard to tell.
Eventually, Kevin moved and you and Dean took your new seats, with careful discretion. You hoped.
With his hands placed chastely on his own knees, Dean exhaled, turned to look at you, and almost immediately burst out laughing. You clamped your mouth shut and shook your head, but the laughter fluttered up your chest and into your throat right back at him.
God, what was with all this nonsensical joy?
And how the hell were you going to get through the last stretch to Albuquerque?!
“Shhh!” Dean insisted, which only made him smile wider, eyes almost closed.
You huffed and tried to breathe, but it was too ridiculous. So you did close your own eyes, to try and settle down, to not let the topic at hand get any further out of your control.
“Okay, okay, I know,” Dean agreed and took a few breaths of his own.
“We are supposed to hash it out, you know, not giggle like we’re at a middle school sleepover,” you said out of the side of your mouth.
You felt Dean shift beside you and when you opened your eyes again his head was resting back and he was looking to the ceiling of the bus.
“Okay, okay, yeah. I guess, what do you want to know?”
You hummed in consideration, watching as he waited, his throat exposed and vulnerable as he swallowed. He was so damn beautiful, it took everything in you not to lean forward and lick his neck right then and there.
It was your turn to swallow. “I guess, what do you want out of this and who do you want to know?”
Dean’s head whipped down to look at you. “You. I want you, okay? Any of the other stuff can come later, I just want you to be my girl. In private, always, but in public only when you give the all clear. I have waited a long time for this, I can be good.”
And that’s when it hit you. He was telling the truth. Ever since he got his head out of his ass last summer, he had practically been at your beck and call. He could keep it under wraps as long as you told him to.
Something dirty sank in your words, but you meant them all the same when you asked, “you have been good already. Haven’t you?”
“Tryin’ to, yeah.” His voice softened.
“Alright, you and me. Just you and me, until we get the ‘all clear’ about the break up announcement from the suits. But I’m all yours in private.”
Dean reached over and held your nearest forearm. “You got me.”
The wave of emotion must have struck you dumb, because there was no other rational reason you weren’t kissing Dean stupid after a promise like that. You simply remained in your seat, lost in his sage dark gaze.
“I could get used to that.”
You shivered against the chill of the desert night. In a rare turn of events, you got a spot far enough from the stage to get a fan’s point of view of Phantom Traveler’s set. Bobby and Jesse stood beside you, keeping the Albuquerque crowd in the pit from getting too close. Not that anything alarming was happening, just keeping up the protections set in place after Vegas. You were still just their publicist to the world at large, after all.
Nobody knew Dean had kissed you.
Or that you kissed him back.
Or that you were, in the most basic sense, together.
Though it was only a matter of time before somebody close to you found out, thus ensuring everyone else would too. Your money was on Sam being first to sniff you out, with Charlie and Pamela being close contenders. But at that moment, it didn’t matter, because Dean was on stage and every word felt like it was meant just for you.
Pushing Through wasn’t even on that night’s playlist.
He just couldn’t seem to keep his eyes off of you.
Your cheeks were so warm from blushing, it was like you were under the stage lights right along with him. But, God, did it feel good. You were giddy from all of the attention and all of the emotion.
You should have probably stopped yourself from smiling so much, it had to be pretty obvious something was going on. You were never THAT happy. But the butterflies didn’t worry about such things and the way Dean licked his lips between songs told you he didn’t seem to mind either.
You felt invincible.
“I’m gonna get a beer, you want anything?” Bobby asked, leaning down to hear your answer over the music.
“Something clear. Thanks!” You bumped him with your shoulder before he turned to navigate the crowd. After a parting look thrown his way, Jesse nodded and settled himself closer to your side.
You sighed and looked back up to the stage. If Dean thought you needed this sort of personal security, you trusted him. It just felt kind of silly at this point. And it wasn’t like Jesse, or any of Benny’s guys, were bad company.
You just hated to be an extra worry on their agenda.
“Alright folks, ready to take it up a notch?!” Lee crowed into his mic while he strummed into the opening of ‘Good Intentions’ from their last album, a cliche but catchy song that started popping up in audio clips on social media after they canceled that tour.
It almost seemed comical that he considered that taking it up a notch, especially with the rest of their repertoire.
Kevin came in with a waterfall of notes down the scale and they all took off together into the song that Cas had finished writing with Lee because Dean had been such a shit. It felt good to have the perspective of that entire year now that Dean was out the other end. You all were.
You made a mental note to call Cas when you had time over the few days before you headed to Oklahoma City. You missed his snark and needed somebody who wouldn’t talk to talk to about everything.
The band sounded better than ever as they moved on to ‘Lost and Found’ which segwayed into ‘Twigs and Twine’ and before you knew it, they were bringing out Annie.
How they made a song about a car so sexy, no one knows. But the way Dean belted it out, eyes closed and mic in the air made every fantasy you ever had come crashing into focus. You were gonna get that man naked. You almost melted on the spot, but luckily the crowd demanding an encore brought you back to your senses.
Bobby whistled as Annie took a final bow with the band, but broke off once Dean and Lee started blowing kisses.
“I’ll see you guys backstage,” he said as he left to see Annie back to her dressing room.
“They’re adorable,” Jesse teased as you both watched Bobby beeline to the crew stairs.
“Seriously,” you agreed.
“Want to head back now, save the rush with the encores?”
“Yeah, probably should. Lead the way!” You plopped your hands onto Jesse’s back and used him as a human shield through the crowd, even though Bobby had already left a decent path. Dean’s voice broke through the darkness and Sam joined in with his warbly baritone. ‘Brother’s Keeper’ led into an acoustic, jam band styled ‘Last Call.’
Which was a perfect mellowed out ending to the show at Isleta Amphitheater.
You, Jody, and Victor stood cheering in the wings as Charlie shut off the stage lights on the band’s goodbyes. The crowd was a blur of strangers in the dark, but the second Dean turned away, his eyes swept through the mingling support staff until they landed on you.
You stayed put. You didn’t leap into his arms and he didn’t run, but the pull between you was undeniable. So, he came to you, in the disguise of appeasing the group around you.
“There he is!” Victor crowed
“Great job out there,” Jody said simply.
“Thanks! What are we getting up to tonight? Huh? I think I heard the Chief was getting a group and heading into town.”
“It’s a Tuesday night, man,” Victor sounded skeptical.
Dean looked at Jody and then at you. “This guy sound like a cop to anybody else?”
“Hey, fuck you! I was just saying there can’t be much going on in downtown ABQ on a weeknight in the ass end of March,” Victor spat back.
Dean laughed and winked at you. “Oh, we’ll see.”
You leaned in and stage whispered to Victor, “never challenge a Winchester to a good time.”
“You’re damn right,” Sam butt in out of nowhere, still shirtless and sweating. “Let’s get this place cleared out so we can party!”
Pam whooped in agreement with her high hat in tow.
Two hours later and you were crawling off of the roadies’ bus into the parking lot of a strip club. Donna and Nancy led the way in their post show outfits, skin tight and high heels, just looking to make new friends. You couldn’t help but laugh at their excitement, this was all old hat to you after all.
“You ready to keep up with those two?” Dean teased, and threw his arm over your shoulder as Cesar fell into step behind you.
“Let’s just make sure they keep their clothes on, and we’ll be all good.”
“Don’t think I’ll be keeping tabs on anybody else tonight, if you know what I mean?”
You cleared your throat and hip checked him. “Eyes front, soldier, the VIP awaits.”
Dean played hurt and chased you up to the entrance where Donna and Nancy had tried to pay the cover price.
“Hey, man, they’re with us. We have a reservation!” Dean insisted and the bouncer actually eyed Dean and then Cesar, Sam, and Chief in equal alarm and appraisal.
“Of course, this way,” he said after swallowing his tongue, and pointed your group to the side entrance.
You would like to think that you held your own against the atmosphere and the booze. That you teased Dean with your cherry stems as much as he did you with his wet lips and beer bottles. But it didn’t really matter, because by 3 am you had him in a private dance room with an entertainer paid off for the use of the space.
“I could think of a million better places for our first time, Trouble,” Dean murmured as you started pulling off his flannel.
The bass was still rattling the walls this far from the stage. “I am sure you could, but just shut up—.” You broke off to kiss him before pulling back to say, “because I am not walking out of here unfucked.”
“Whoa! Dirty girl, okay! Hold on, christ!” Dean scrambled to get his wallet out of his back pocket and a condom out as you helped yourself to his belt.
Dean let his wallet fall to the floor to grab you by the wrists.
“Hey, where’s the fire? I’m not going anywhere, you know.”
You stomped your foot a little in jest. “Dean, come on!”
He grinned at you and held the condom in the air, when you went to grab it he snatched it higher. “Nuh-uh. First, get over here.”
Dean drew you in by the waist for a filthy kiss, while he slowly shuffled you towards a low backed chair.
“Sit.”
“You sit, it will be easier with me on top.”
“Oh my fucking god,” Dean muttered under his breath and palmed at his junk through his newly opened fly. “There’ll be plenty of time for that, but later. Sit down, please?”
You looked at the chair and then the floor and then back at Dean. “I don’t want to.”
Dean opened his mouth and then closed it, brow furrowed in confusion. “Um, okay. Kinda of squashing some of my favorite things. Do you mind me asking why?”
Your face dropped as you saw Dean taking his apparent rejection in stride. “Oh, baby, no. I’m not saying no. I’m saying not now.”
“You’re sure? You’re not just trying to butter me up. I’ll understand, everybody’s got their own things.”
You sighed and whined a little and stepped closer, nuzzling against Dean’s chest. “I think your mouth on me is possibly the hottest thing I have ever imagined. And I have been thinking of you naked all night.”
Dean deflated. “Just tonight? Cuz I got you beat there.”
“Don’t change the subject. I’m just saying I need your dick like yesterday and will you kindly put on the damn condom already?!”
Dean snapped his fingers. “There she is! I knew you liked bossing me around.”
You rolled your eyes and started hiking up your dress. “Condom and then sit.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Dean saluted and tore the wrapper open with his teeth.
As soon as his mouth was empty, you kissed him, shoving your hands into his sweat crusted hair. Dean’s hands took turns roaming your silhouette and easing his pants down to his ankles.
“Oh god, you smell so good. Come here,” Dean encouraged you to settle on his lap, cock between your bodies and he slid on the protection. Your heels gave you just enough height to be able to straddle Dean and touch the floor, but only barely.
“Okay, upsy daisy,” Dean slipped his right hand up your back, supporting you as he slipped his tip between your folds. “‘Atta girl, nice and easy.”
You whined when Dean notched himself at your entrance, the thick promise of him already so much.
“Hey,” Dean stroked your chin and made you look at him. “I got you, okay? Just—”
All of the air left him as you dropped down onto his dick. He filled you deeper than you could have imagined, and the sound that came out of your mouth was nothing compared to the groan that came out of Dean’s throat.
“Sonuvabitch!”
You rocked forward and wiggled a bit, just to take stock, and let your inner walls make their accommodations.
“God, yeah, knew you’d be big,” you praised. “You ready?”
“I do not think I am going to last at this rate. You, uh, you better take what you came in here for.”
“Yeah?” You asked honestly, surprised by having that much effect on him.
“Trouble, please!” Dean Winchester was begging you for more. Or for mercy. Holy fuck, that was hot.
You slid up onto your tip toes and sank back down. Slowly, you found your rhythm. Dean hummed and let his hands slide up your sides, catching on your waist and easing up and over your chest. His rough fingertips teased you through your dress.
You kissed him when he started to stare too intently. Making you both moan into each other’s mouth, a perfect vibration that you felt from your nipples to your clit.
You changed the roll of your hips and Dean’s face sagged, his eyes dropped closed and you caught him biting his lip to stop from getting too loud. “Next time, we get to be loud, okay?” you promised.
“God, yeah.”
“Good, I hate not screaming your name.”
Dean’s head fell forward and he rested it against your shoulder. “FUCK!”
“So good, so close.”
You squealed when Dean’s thumb found your clit, the wide pad of it dragging pleasure out of you with every stroke.
“Dean? Pleeeeease.” Now you were the one who was begging.
Dean tisked at you. “You were the one who needed my dick, doll. You’re the boss here.”
You sank heavy into his lap and grinded onto your new favorite of Dean’s fingers. “Harder,” you demanded.
You felt yourself tense, the trickle of wetness that came before the blessed release, and finally the pulsing completion. Dean’s voice murmured to you as you squeezed his dick for all it was worth.
“Fucking gorgeous when you cum like that.”
You hummed out a whine and rolled your hips, thanking him and feeling him, stiffer than ever before.
“You just sit up there, I’m gonna—”
Dean slid down the chair so his hips could snap up into you. Startled by the new angle you grabbed the back of the chair behind him and he hit your G spot with almost divine precision.
“Whoa! Right there!”
“Yeah? There?!”
You were gonna cum all over again.
“Dean!”
“Hey.” Dean waited until you opened your eyes again. “I got you.”
“Yeah, okay.” You nodded through a blur of bliss and tears. Then Dean ground his teeth and came into the condom, deep inside you.
“Fucking fuck! Holy shit, that’s so good.”
You leaned forward onto your tiptoes, releasing Dean from supporting both your weights and felt him slowly slip out of you. You missed him instantly, but he had carved a place inside of you no one else could ever fill. Something told you, your body would know him always, even if you lost all of your other senses, it knew where Dean belonged.
And that is when you crawled back into his lap, this time with your hands pulling his face to yours so your kiss could tell him everything you couldn’t say.
“It’s okay, I get it, okay?” Dean rubbed your back as you caught your breath. After a few moments he breached the real question of the night. “Not exactly the most romantic thing, but I hope you know how I feel.”
“I know I kind of rushed your game. But, I just needed to get this out of the way. The first time. If I thought too much about it I would have chickened out or froze while you were otherwise occupied and you don’t deserve that.”
“I don’t deserve shit. Whatever you need, just tell me, alright?”
You didn’t say anything. Instead you breathed him in while you both basked in the afterglow, and let him rub circles on the nape of your neck until the bouncer knocked on the door for the next dance.
The extra days between gigs passed like they usually did on tour. But the nights, they held so much more to look forward to. Dean always had a bigger room, so his became the default for you to sneak into and out of each morning. Because as much as you wanted to keep your secret, you weren’t denying yourselves anymore than you already had.
“Four years, give or take.”
“Four?” You held up your fingers to demonstrate. “Or just for years?”
Dean pulled down your wrist and pinched your side for your snark. “It was after your housewarming party, when I felt it shift. There was that guy, the marketing director or whatever from Yellow Eyes at that thing in Studio City? He was such a fucking douche and I just thought ‘why do I even care?’ that he was giving you his number. And yeah, but, it took me a while to really face it.”
“Obviously.” You almost laughed at his absurdity, but sighed instead. It was your turn. You played with his fingers, your head resting against his chest. His king sized bed was wasted on two magnets like you.
“I don’t know how to say this without sounding like a freak. And I do NOT want to overstroke your ego, mister.”
Dean chuckled. “It’s like that, huh?”
“Not like you’re thinking, it’s just. You’re hard not to love, you know? You’re just this big ball of genuine good guy, plus, you’re kind of hot. Have I mentioned that?”
“No, can’t say that you have.”
“Well, remind me later.”
Dean sniggered.
“Anyway! I just thought it was a normal thing around you, people just got sucked into the thrall. But as much as Pam flirts and as easy as you could have picked up half the staff at the studio, and with Charlie being gay—- I figured out that it was just how you make me feel, specifically.”
Dean hummed in thought. “And how is that?”
“Safe. Seen. You make me feel like the me I am is the right me. Always.”
Dean kissed your temple and drew you closer. “You’re fucking amazing. I want you to never forget that.”
You looked up at him and batted your eyelashes at him. “Remind me later?”
Dean broke, shaking his head and laughing at your call back. “I’ll show you right now.”
And he did.
The next morning came way too quickly, with an unexpected visitor.
“WAKE UP, JERK! You got four miles calling your name!” Sam bellowed from the living room of Dean’s hotel suite.
You groaned. “How does he have a key?! I don’t even get a key.”
“Cuz he’s an asshole and my emergency contact. Must have paid off the front desk. Again.” Dean sat up and turned to the side of the bed, his gorgeous shoulders on display as he got his bearings.
“YO!”
“Bitch! I HEAR YOU! Give me a goddamn second!”
“FIVE— FOUR—”
Dean rushed to his feet and stormed into the common area before Sam could walk in on you, half naked in bed.
“I said give me a minute, Sam!” Dean closed the door loosely behind himself, but their words still made it back to you.
“Uh— who’s that?”
Dean didn’t say anything at first.
“Dude! Bela has been nowhere to be seen. I know it’s over, but how do you think Trouble would feel if you got caught with a rando?!”
You had to stop yourself from laughing too loudly. Instead you stole Dean’s complimentary robe and got out of bed.
“I really don’t think she’d mind, man. Plus, we’re being careful.”
“WE?! Who is ‘we’, Dean?”
“Fuck this, I’m making coffee. You want a cup before we hit the trails?”
“No. You’re not getting out of this. You told me you were gonna stop screwing around back after New Year’s. Why are you messing that up, now, huh?”
“New Year’s. Wonder why that was.”
You pushed the door open all the way, seeing Sam standing across the room near the small island, with Dean still stone faced at the coffee pot, eyes flitting between you and Sam. This was like a fucking sit com, you couldn’t wait to see Sam’s face.
You sighed loudly, “what’s going on out here? We rehashing New Year’s?”
You slinked up to Dean’s side and stole the first crappy cup of Keurig coffee.
“Uh, Trouble?” Sam sputtered.
“Hey, Sam.” You tried to keep the smug look off your face, but it was just too funny.
“Sam’s telling me how mad you’d be if I had shacked up with some rando when the world thinks I’m still with Bela.” Dean turned and pulled out a stool for you to sit on.
“Well, he’s not wrong. I would be very mad if you did that.”
“Hell, I’d be mad if I did that,” Dean teased.
“Okay, cut it out.”
“What, Sam? Wouldn’t you be pissed if Dean was off being a rockstar or something?”
“Very funny. How long?”
Dean went back for his own coffee.
“How long, what?”
“Have you guys been—-?”
You looked at Dean mischievously.
“Been?” Dean asked innocently.
“Dude!” Sam complained about having to spell it out.
“Been fucking? Been hiding? Been happy?” Dean offered when he saw Sam wasn’t relaxing. He blew on the surface of the coffee as Sam rebooted.
Sam stepped closer and leaned his big hands against the edge of the island. “Wow. Congrats, guys. Damn. It took you long enough.”
You grinned and looked back at Dean. “Thanks, we thought so, too.”
Dean rolled his eyes at you, but took the two strides over to your side to plant a kiss on you for that.
“Uh?”
“Shut it, Sammy. You’re in my room. I get to kiss my girl in my room. You can always wait for me in the hallway.”
“No, I mean. Still gross. But really, who are we telling? Because I’m guessing this isn’t a one time thing.”
“Oh! Yeah, it’s more of an all the time thing,” Dean clarified.
At that Sam smiled.
“Nothing outside of the immediate band until the Bela announcement is okayed,” you explained.
“Okay, but Pam and Lee when they fly in and Bobby and Benny, though? That everyone?”
Dean set down his coffee and crossed his arms. “Sam?”
Sam shrugged unconvincingly. “Just making sure.”
You watched the two brothers as they held a silent debate. Then it hit you.
“What did you bet on? When or Who would know first?” You gave Sam the stink eye and waited for the truth.
Sam huffed. “Look, it was Charlie’s idea, okay? If you want to be pissy with anybody, be pissy with her.”
“Not helping,” Dean spat.
“You guys have been ridiculous. It was only a matter of time!” Sam tried to defend himself.
“Who all is in on it?”
“Uh, me, Charlie, Kevin, Lee just seconded Pam’s bet, because, you know—”
“Psychic,” you and Dean said at the same time.
Sam laughed. “Yeah, and uh, Patience, of course. Oh! And Nancy, Victor and Benny.”
“Fucking Nancy!” You mused. “Never count her out.”
“It is always the innocent ones,” Dean muttered, looking at you wistfully.
“So how much of a cut do we get if we let you tell everyone and you win?”
“Well, unless it happened in Vegas, I don’t win.”
Dean balked at his brother. While you chuckled.
“Serves you right,” you told him.
“Fuck you both. It was two hundred dollars!”
“Each or total?” Dean asked.
“Each!” Sam gave up and sat down across from you. “Anyway, I think Pam had N’awlins and Benny had Nebraska.”
You swirled your coffee, trying to get it to cool down. “Anybody pick here?”
“Wait, seriously? Fucking New Mexico?”
“Hey! It was technically Arizona,” Dean defended.
“Like that helps,” Sam bitched. “I don’t know. I’ll ask Charlie, but only if you want her on you like stink on shit. The second I go poking around, she’ll know or she’ll weasel it out of me.”
“Too true,” Dean said. “Well? You want ‘em to know? Or should we keep it on the down low?”
“We can tell them as long as you never say ‘keep it on the down low’ ever again. What is this, 1999?!”
“You’re ridiculous,” Dean teased.
Sam sighed. “Look who’s talkin’!”
You rested your head against Dean’s meaty bicep. “Go, inform the very few masses this pertains to. But tell Charlie I demand ten percent.”
“Each—- we both get ten percent.”
“Good luck with that. Gym later, then?” Sam offered.
Dean looked down at you and smiled softly. “Yeah, it feels like a brunch kind of day. If you don’t mind?”
“Not at all. Take your time, guys.” Sam started heading to the door. “Just text me when you want to meet up.”
“Got it. Thanks!”
“Yeah, thanks, SAM!” You hollered sarcastically after him.
Fifteen minutes later, both of your phones erupted.
“And Lee and Pam’s flight gets in at 11 at Will Rogers,” you confirmed with Benny over the phone, while Charlie typed away across the table.
The time in Albuquerque had come to an end, and another show loomed on the horizon. Oklahoma City was not one of your favorite stops, but you and Charlie had made do, by holing up in a chain bakery’s lobby for a few hours of real work.
You played with the scheduling program you used for the tour and prayed their flight was on time, while Benny assured you that he had two drivers on stand-by, just in case they weren’t getting along again. You took another sip of your too-weak coffee.
Now that the band family knew about you and Dean, things felt more substantial, more consequential. Which made you think back to Dean’s little confessional on the bus after Vegas. About how that guy from the crowd of paps was the sadist and how they supposedly knew everyone Dean cared about.
But mostly, you worried about Dean relapsing, for lack of a better word. You knew him, the good and the bad. You trusted Dean to do the right thing. But you also knew he still considered Cain and his goons a threat. You had to do something.
You had to help.
“Charlie?” You asked thoughtfully, once Benny had hung up.
It took you a couple of tries, but she popped out one of her earbuds and made eye contact. “What’s up?”
“You remember about the security threat in Vegas?”
“Uh, yeah, still pretty vague on the deets if you ask me. But I’m glad they finally let us out in pairs on our own.”
You knew today felt like a sort of vacation and her naivete made you realize why. “Well, I need your help with something and maybe if we play our cards right, we won’t have to avoid an entire city on the next tour.”
“Dude, spill!” She took out the other earbud and turned her laptop to the side, intensely invested.
You saved your work and moved your laptop over as well. “Okay, don’t freak out. But Dean was into some underground fighting syndicate or something. And the guy, the owner of the gyms made some pretty obvious threats against Dean’s people if Dean didn’t come back.”
“Holy shit! Is it the mob?! What do you do with bodies in Vegas?! Concrete boots and Lake Mead? That doesn’t seem very discreet.”
You gaped at your sometimes macabre friend.
“Sorry.”
“No, it’s okay. I guess I’m glad you get the severity. Anyway, what the guy’s doing, the operation in general, has got to be illegal. What I need from you is some seriously deep dives on his dealings, dark web three VPNs level shit.”
“That’s not exactly—”
You held up your hand. “I know. It just sounded cooler in my head. Whatever. Do your Penelope Garcia magic and find me some dirt on these guys. But keep them off your scent—- and Dean’s.”
She had spun her keyboard around as you spoke. “You really think they’ll come after Dean while we’re on tour?”
“Honestly, I don’t know. I just know I hate seeing him that scared— or that guilty.”
“Yikes,” Charlie said. “On it. This wifi is way too unsecured for this, but I think I know where I can work on it later. Write down the dude's name and whatever details you know. No googling, got it?”
You held up your hand in surrender or allegiance, “got it.”
