Wow, I would've loved to wear a red boot - but it seems only gray and black exist in this country. This guy is part of the Shammi prank house in Australia where they constantly pull pranks on each other and I've seen others in the house wearing it. I think they keep it around for times when someone messes up their foot or ankle after getting pranked.
This was from the summer before I had ankle surgery, 2020 in midst of Covid. I am glad I am not having to limp around in these boots anymore. That boot you see has gotten a lot of mileage since I first wore it for a fracture in 2018 on my right ankle actually. And WOW I am showing off the bracelets on my right ankle there! I totally forgot about them and need to get some new ones.
WOW! Don't you love that well-worn red boot?! Here is (what I am guessing) is the story behind it... This guy and the guy on the ground are members of a frat-type house where they constantly prank each other. They keep a boot or two around because the pranks sometimes result in foot injuries. There's actually a video out there of this guy stepping on the bare foot of one of the other housemates with the boot, causing him to scream in pain. This is in Australia. Black and gray boots are about all we have to choose from in most countries.
#Update 2/9
I fell which led to the emergency room at Doctors Community Hospital.
I also received a text from Allstate about my insurance claim.
The wrapping is pretty much off. My foot needs to be wrapped again….
My foot is better. The emergency room doctor at Doctors Community Hospital recommended that I see a specialist (podiatrist or orthopedic). I hope to do so soon.
Update Nov28
I submitted another paper for publishing. I called it "A Critical Analysis of Three Papers On Responding To Online Reviews." I submitted it to Cornell Hospitality Quarterly. Years ago, when I was working on the paper, I actually requested one of the three articles reviewed from Cornell University through the NCU (ncu.edu) library because it could not be opened/viewed from the NCU library - see related post https://fahmeenaodetta.tumblr.com/post/690155935422988288/responses).

I am in pain again.
