Once someone ever asked to Our Beloved Prophet an act which is very much advised to do. The Prophet said it three times: “don’t get angry, don’t get angry, don’t get angry”.
I am practicing to be able to control my emotion, be more mature, a wiser human being. Very practical steps I heard from an Islamic scholar to control emotion (anger, anxiety, depression): taking wudhu or ablution (wiping face, arms, feet, forehead, and some other parts of our body), move your body (if you are sitting down, then get up. If you stand up then try to walk), inhales-hold-exhales (count to five for each), move your lip up to the right and left (smile and hold it for 10 seconds).
Heart is the source of healthiness physically, mentally and emotionally. So, keep our heart clean :)
